My son is six years old and weighs 48 pounds. I ordered a size 8 for 50 pounds. The fit was excellent throughout, with the exception of the length, which was a little too long. This is advantageous because the fabric can be hemmed quickly.
I'd go with a 2T and expect to hem it. The fit is odd, as they are slim and long. My grandson has a long, lanky build. I ordered a 3T because he's almost 30 pounds. It was a good fit for him, but the legs were a little too long for him.
The number is approximately 3. 75”. I had it removed and a Ghostbusters-style patch embroidered with my son's name on it. It's ideal for a Ghostbuster costume.
I'm not sure what size you'll need, but I'd go up a size! For my son's third birthday, I ordered a 3T (he was still quite comfortable in a 2T), but he didn't wear it much until it became too tight. But it's so adorable that I'm going to order another one!

Worked great for my kids' Ghostbusters costumes, but the sizing is odd: the legs are way too long, the waist is fine, but the inseam is almost too short. To secure the legs, I used fabric glue. This item is a little overpriced; however, if the sizing wasn't an issue, I would give it 5 stars because the material is very nice and durable. Nicely washed.
My son was 19 months old at the time, and the 2T size was perfect for him. We simply rolled up the legs because it was too long. I removed the patch that came with it with a seam ripper and replaced it with a name patch that I made for the costume. It was adorable, and he appeared to be at ease wearing it. The coveralls are well-made, but I found them to be quite pricey, which is the only reason I gave four stars instead of five.
The legs were a little shorter than I'd hoped, but it was still a good fit. Fortunately, his boots were tall enough that it didn't show. This is an excellent purchase.
Perfect for little gearheads like my daughter, who loves to help daddy in the garage but is always concerned about ruining her clothes. This is no longer the case. They're the perfect solution, and they're so adorable! As she grows out of them, I'll be buying a lot more in larger sizes.
I'm glad I read other reviews that said to order a size up from your child's usual size because it does run a little small. Aside from that, we're extremely pleased with our purchase. I may be one of the few people who purchased this as "work" clothing (to assist Daddy in the shop) rather than a costume. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it appears to be made of sturdy material that will withstand multiple washes. I would tell a friend about this product and would buy it again.
The sizing chart I used to order was also very accurate; I went a size up so my little dude could grow into it a little, but it was very accurate. Arrived promptly, and I was extremely pleased. I gave it two stars because it's more of a canvas material, similar to Dickie's brand work clothes, rather than for its quality.
My 3-year-old was perfectly suited to the small size. I'm looking for a matching set for an 8-year-old because of the tough/thick fabric.
Although the quality is excellent, the other reviewers were, for the most part, accurate and relatable. THE FIT IS OBVIOUSLY OUT OF THE BOX. There is no stretch because the crotch is too high and the legs are too wide. I ordered two sizes, but neither of them fit properly. Because I was unable to return the worse of the two shirts he never wore, I will most likely donate it. I wish they weren't as pricey as they are.
