This is made out of thick Carhartt material, but they are not insulated at all. In addition, if the child kneels or sits in the snow, they would get wet. This is not like snow pants that will keep your legs dry and warm like snow pants do. My family and I use these by the lake in the fall and spring when we live in Upper Michigan.

There is an object on the kid that looks like a bell. I like the style, but it is too open- The sides of the torso are a perfect place for kids to stick their hands down their legs! The legs are also not tapered to create a stylish appearance. These buckles lay flat and would be difficult to get out of, so if you have a kid who is a Houdini when it comes to getting out of clothes at the wrong time, these buckles will be helpful.
