Yes, a parka can be worn underneath, but I recommend going one size up from your usual size. We went with a size 8 so that we could layer it and wear it for more than one season. A strap allows for adjustments on the wrists.
These are extremely nice, comparable to a $200 jacket purchased by an adult. It's worthwhile if you live in a rainy region, such as the Pacific Northwest, and spend a lot of time outside. Warmth and dryness will be provided to your child.

I've used the one-piece Oaki suits with 2,3,4, and 5-year-olds in the Northern Colorado Rockies and have been very pleased with how dry and warm they kept my preschoolers when playing in the rain, sleet, snow, melting snow, and mud. So far, it's the best raincoat I've come across.

This jacket turned out to be an excellent investment. We live in southeast Georgia, and despite the fact that it gets quite cold here, we don't need a bulky winter jacket. Our lifestyle and location are ideal for the Oakiwear fleece lined jacket. My son stays warm in the fleece without adding much weight or bulk to his petite frame. Although we haven't put the material through rigorous outdoor testing, I'm confident it will hold up against a child who enjoys playing in the dirt and getting wet. br>For comparison, my son is 5 1/2 years old, weighs 42 pounds, and stands 46 inches tall. He usually wears a size 5t, but I went up a size in this jacket to allow him to grow into it. He's wearing a 6/7 size jacket, which fits him perfectly and allows him to move around and be a kid despite the fact that it's roomy on him. The wrists have adjustable velcro to keep the sleeves from falling off his hands, and the bottom of the jacket has a pull cord to tighten it around his waist. This jacket has lasted three years, which is incredible considering the price. br>br>I did some research on this company before purchasing, and it was founded by a mother of young children who understands the need for parents to have affordable and durable outdoor clothing options for their children. I'd say she's got it figured out based on the quality of this jacket. I'll buy from them again without a doubt!.
Oaki trail suits and older versions of the Oaki trail rain jacket are two of our favorites. Our petite child couldn't wear it because it didn't have the fantastic velcro at the wrists. Also, the old version with the storm flap over the zipper was one of our favorites. It's a shame they didn't keep those details on this jacket.
My son is almost five years old, and while this jacket is roomy, it isn't too big to return, if that makes sense. It has enough room for him to wear a shirt, a thick sweatshirt, and a light puffy jacket while still remaining comfortable. It's waterproof, has a great bill on the hood for extra face protection, and the bright color is ideal. br>br>And in case anyone was comparing it to the other- This company sells a two-piece rain suit. That is something we have as well and enjoy. We use it when our son attends a nature preschool and spends the afternoon outside in the elements. We went out and bought one. It fits us perfectly in a size 6/7 (as suggested by other parents) and allows us to layer even snow pants underneath!.
This is our second coat; the first one we got was fantastic and lasted nearly four months before she outgrew it. After a month, the zipper on the second one, which I purchased in a larger size, broke, and the entire top piece fell off. Trying to return or exchange it, but the seller's return window is closed. I'm disappointed because I adore the Oaki line of products.
It's fleece, as stated in the description. The jacket is incredibly attractive. We bought a two-bedroom apartment. One with a lavender tone. In real life, the lavender is probably a little lighter, but it's still lovely. As stated in the description, the jacket is fleece lined, making it ideal for Fall/Spring weather because it is thin but lined, keeping the cold wind at bay. There appears to be some misunderstanding regarding the sleeves and whether or not they are adjustable. It appears that all of the two-person teams are on the same page. This feature can be found in toned ones. Please be aware that the solid-colored jackets will not. The jacket is exactly as shown in the photos, so the buyer will know what to expect; overall, I believe this jacket will last several seasons and will most likely be passed down to the younger sister.
For years, I've been a fan of Oaki rain pants for my kids, and I've discovered that they are extremely durable, only leaking after a year of use. I was shocked to discover that this rain jacket leaked after only one use! It's made of a different material than the rain pants, as far as I can tell. I'm hoping Oaki will give me a refund for this jacket.
The jacket is perfect in every other way except for the hood, which is too small. While the jacket floats a little above the shoulders, the zipper pushes into my toddler's neck and chin. For her to tolerate wearing it, I have to leave the zipper slightly unzipped. br>br>Take a good look at yourself.
It's really cute and it fits perfectly. My six-year-old goes to Forest School dressed in his favorite outfit. They haven't had many rainy days yet this year, but based on previous rain shells with Oaki, I'm confident that this one will keep the rain at bay!.
