Not 100% waterproof but with normal wear out in the snow they repel wetness very well and do not get soaked as I did with less quality snow pants. These snow pants are fantastic!
According to the label, size 14 is the most popular. This pair of pants is 59-inches long and 16 inches wide. 64-year-old woman with a height of 100-year-old man 120 lbs. Size 14/16 should be fine for your son if he wears husky.
I believe it's made of polyester.
We went with the grey ones because the knees appeared to have a second layer of fabric. However, this was not to be. The padding and fabric are the same, but the color has been changed.

My six-year-old son needed new snow pants because his London Fog size 5/6 were too short, and we tried on Target brand snow pants, which he despised. I couldn't say no to him when he asked for another pair of London Fog snow pants. He wore the last pair for about two winters and they are still in excellent condition! He wears his snow pants on a daily basis (we live in Minnesota), and he is very rough on them. There are no tears or holes in the knees despite the extensive use and multiple washes! I'm very pleased with them, and I'm confident we'll order the next size up soon.
This pair of pants is a sham. I ordered a medium 5/6 and received a baby's size instead. These have to be a flaw because they aren't even close to being true to size. Be careful what you buy.
Depending on the day, I can weigh anywhere between 60 and 80 pounds. According to the size chart, I ordered a size 7; it's a little tight, especially when he crouchs down, but it should last at least this season. The length is fine, but if you have a 90th percentile child like mine, you should size up just because of the tightness. It appears to be well-made, but we'll see how it holds up at his nature preschool!.
These snow pants have done a fantastic job of holding up. My four-year-old spends hours playing in the snow and always returns home warm and dry. They began sledding down a large hill behind our house the other day, but before long, they were simply rolling down the hill. Even though the kid was insane, he remained warm and dry! There isn't a speck of moisture beneath the pants.
These were purchased for my daughter, and they are a perfect fit. The length is good, a little long for her, but she's short, and it has pockets, which she thinks is pretty cool (girls' bibs usually don't have pockets). Great price, kept her warm and dry (even in light rain, not a downpour) while skiing. I'm pleased with the purchase, and she appears to be pleased as well.
My 7-year-old's pants (purchased 11/6) are already ripping at the knees after two minor snowstorms in Maine. I had previously bought Artix and they had lasted for several years. I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of these pants and am now looking to replace them.
My children had a great time playing in the snow, and these kept them warm and dry. This was a gift for my 6-year-old daughter. She is a tall woman who wears a size 6/small dress. The bibs are a size 7 and fit a little big, which is exactly what I was hoping for. They stayed tucked into her boots, and we didn't mind if they got wet and cold. The bibs have an extra pant leg for tucking into the boot with elastic to keep it from riding up. br>We also went snow tubing and had no problems. My 6-year-old found the front zipper to be thick and comfortable, and the shoulder straps to be thick and comfortable.
It held up well in the snow, but the quality was poor, and it ripped a lot. We bought it because of the brand name, but it failed to live up to our expectations.
