There is no way I can tell. In spite of this, I ordered the Large since my son wears a Standard size 10 t-shirt. The size of that thing was way out of proportion! As a result, I had to return the item. I think it's a very cool jacket, and it's Here's what you need to know!

I had to order a size small because my 8-year old is tall. Using my child as a comparison, he wears a size Medium Gap shirt, a size 10 Gap jeans and a size 9/10 Abercrombie jeans, and still fits into a size 7/8 tee. The jacket was short as well as tight around the chest. A smaller child might be able to wear it. We found that Size Medium was far too big for us. Interestingly, I returned both of them since they didn't fit well. Otherwise, the jacket looks like it would be warm, too bad the sizing didn't work.
