Autumn and spring are the best seasons for this jacket. His lining is made of fleece, so he'll be nice and warm, and the hood offers good coverage. It is my son's third birthday. He is a little boy of three. Since I have a 5 year old and got the 4T size, it might be a little big for small children but if your toddler is normally sized it is fine. At least I will be able to use it this spring.
