Medium is a size 5/6, large is a size 7, and large is 8 inches
If your child is smaller, I would suggest the 6 since they do tend to run big. I got a 8 for my 7 year old and it is a little big on him but he is tall, if your child is smaller, I would recommend a 6.
Buying it for my son who is 7 years old and a size 8-10 is a great purchase.
Since it is so thick, warm, and water resistant, it is an excellent choice for any climate!

It is very good quality and feels heavy and expensive. I bought it 2 sizes bigger for my son, so I can't account for the size, but it is certainly worth it.
You are wonderful. bought this for my 11 year old son because he has a very fashionista attitude. I was not sure if he would use the hood but I must say that this jacket is very warm and he even uses it! It is extremely durable for my son, who is 11 years old and very active. You may purchase the same product in another color as well! Spending money well was worth it.
The weight of my 8-year-old, who is 51 inches tall and 51 pounds, is 59 pounds. I got a size small, which fits well because he's very slim. It won't fit exactly next year, but he will wear it still next year, since it's a looser I like the fact that this is a REAL jacket, it's not thin at all, pretty good quality!.

It is very well made. This coat is very rugged. My grandson has played outside in it and gotten mud on it, but after a while it dried and I was able to wipe it clean with little effort. Toddlers who are active should consider this coat. The price was well worth it.
The quality is great, the fit is perfect, and it also looks great. It kept my sons warm in frigid temperatures and allowed them to play in the snow all day. My husband loved it so much that he ordered a second jacket.
He is 33 months old now, and it is still very large. There is an indication that he might be a bit smaller than average, but I still recommend buying a size smaller. He can wear it, but the sleeves are so long that his hands don't fit in the pockets. I must say, that coat is gorgeous. Every time we post it, we get comments. This jacket is made to the highest standards and was made to keep Utah residents warm in the winter.
