I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be done.
In addition, I would not recommend it for football. For football shoes, the cleats are different.

All I can say is that my son liked how they looked and how "comfortable" they made him feel. In fact, the first night he had them, he wore them to bed! haha!.
Every six to eight months, my son outgrows his shoes. These are a good option for getting him through a flag football season.
The grip is excellent. My 7-year-old found them to be very comfortable and true to size, and he absolutely loves them for baseball. They have good grip and were comfortable enough right out of the box that he didn't need to break them in. I can't think of anything negative to say about it, and I strongly suggest it. They also have a fantastic appearance.
We couldn't find any Cleats in my toddler's size, and they were stained, but we had to keep them because she starts school soon and we don't have time to go back and order more. They are true to size and comfortable, according to her. I like the high ankle support, but I don't like how worn they look when they arrive. I'd place another order.
These were purchased as a baseball gift for my son. It looks good on you. He is able to run more quickly as a result of this.
