My four-year-old received an XS, while my seven-year-old received a S. They are a little difficult to put on, but they fit perfectly otherwise. We didn't get a chance to try them out because they arrived after the snow had melted.
They're a big hit with my 5-year-old son. They are the perfect fit and keep my hands warm and dry. He's had them on for two years now. A couple of times, I was able to spend 3 hours straight in the snow without any problems.
