Questions & Answers
My mitts have no labels on them, and I bought them about 4 years ago. They are very well made, and I believe they were made in the United States at the time.
I'm 40 years old, 5'8 inches tall, and have long fingers, so these are a little too long on me. I don't think they'd be appropriate for a child, perhaps a teenager.
I haven't washed them yet, so I'm not sure. I'd disregard the instructions for care.
I'm not sure which is larger, but I bought the one size because I usually wear a women's M/L mitten or glove, and they fit perfectly, with plenty of room for thin liners.

Small hands will find this to be a comfortable fit. 7"x4" in size When worn, the fingers and hands have some wiggle room, but they remain warm. It's well-made, as I've worn it throughout the 2016-2017 winter season. It's 17 years old and hasn't frayed inside or out; it looks as new as the day I bought it. The only "down" side is that the wristband (stripped red portion) expands/loosens with constant use, allowing cold air to enter through a gap all around the wrist area. It would be ideal if the wool had an elastic band or fabric woven into it.
I haven't been let down. Even though it was 3 degrees outside last night, my hands were toasty warm thanks to these over thin wool glove liners. I don't need the liners when the temperature is above 20 degrees. I also appreciate that, unlike most of my gloves, they are easy to put on and take off. I prefer to think of the sock monkey design as whimsical rather than silly, and it helps distinguish right from left. And the cost was reasonable - Other merino mittens were too expensive for me. Because they were quite large on me, I took a chance and washed them in extremely hot water and dried them on warm. Now they're perfect; they shrank evenly and are even warmer because the weave was tightened; it's wonderful to be able to walk the dog and run errands without the discomfort of numbingly cold hands.
Purchased as a present - These were a lot bigger than I thought they'd be, not even 5-inches tall. 6 year olds, without a doubt. They might be worn by the child'someday. ' 😑.
It was ordered for a child who is almost five years old. "YOUTH, LARGE" was written on the tag when the mittens arrived. ONE SIZE is stated in the description. I still gave them to him because they are cute, but he is unlikely to wear them this year or next.
These are lovely, warm mittens that are also cute. They are my favorite. I'm a tall adult woman, and the one-size fits perfectly! These are substantial and of excellent quality.
It's adorable! These were purchased for a friend who enjoys sock monkey merchandise. We thought these would be a fun novelty gift for her birthday because the cold weather is quickly approaching. When they arrived, we were very pleased with them, and we are confident that she will enjoy them as well.
The proportions are excellent. They aren't windproof, but they keep you warm when the wind isn't blowing. The only real criticism is that they are prone to getting caught on the velcro loop half. As a result, I gave it a four-star rating. But, for what they are, I adore them. Wool mittens that are both cute and warm at a reasonable price.
Living with Raynaud's in New England is no fun, so I always buy Fox River products for cold hands and feet because you won't find warmer gear for the price and quality anywhere else. I've spent a lot of money on ski gloves and mitts, but they never keep my hands as warm as these mittens do. For added warmth, I pair these mittens with Fox River liners. 5 Stars!.
