The medium Kushies swim diaper was great for our daughter when she was younger, but as she grew, it became too large. We chose to get another one, but a bigger one. I would recommend this option since it's affordable and great. As for the size of it, it seems pretty big to me. The medium size might have been a better choice for her, as we skipped large to ensure she would have room. Our usage of it does not cease. Just that her swim butt is a little more saggy than usual.
It's great to have a diaper that can be adjusted so easily. Per reviews, I did order a size larger than my son should have needed based in the size chart, but it still fit him. Our experience with it has been the same as our experiences with other diapers. In the past, we have used snaps on the diapers. I like Velcro better.
