Questions & Answers

In the snow, how do these hold up?

Since we live in northern Wisconsin, I can in all confidence state that these boots don't work well As a result of packing with snow, the bottoms get very icy. During the winter if there was snow, my daughter could not walk anywhere. If it was sticky or wet snow, or if it was fluffy or dry snow, it didn't matter. It's the same result every time. I was happy that they kept her feet warm and dry in spite of the cold weather!

How well would these boots perform on the slopes?

This pair of boots is not a ski boot. A Burton toddler boots would work well with the kids skis that have soft boots and are made of plastic so that they can wear the boots on plastic skis.

Compared to other sites, the sole looks pink here, but red in other ones. Would you mind telling me which one it is?

A red sole is on the foot.

The size of my son's shoes is a 5c. He is a year old. What are the chances of a 5 toddler being too ?

The odds are simply not in our favor. An infant size 5c (the "C" stands for crib) is called an "infant" size. A crib shoe is a shoe for an infant. The size 5t would be a toddler size (sometimes they leave the "T" out). A size 5T seems to be the right size for my granddaughter, age 2.

THIS IS NOT a waterproof product! For the first time, I allowed my 28-month-old daughter to wear these outfits while hunting for pumpkins
3/5

There was a puddle in the soil where it had rained the previous day. Her decision to splash around led to her going "splish splash". Is there anything to worry about? It is a waterproof device after all, isn't it? Just an FYI During her time in the puddle, she was not submerged for more than ten Once we got home, we found that her socks and feet were soaked and that her toes had On top of that, it was a cool fall day in Chicago. The anger I felt was strong. They need to show that they are capable of doing what they claim for $65. It will be great to see you again. If the snow seasons return to a similar disappointment, I will refrain from opting for it. The fact that she could easily put them on and take them off pleased me. As well as being lightweight, they are very durable. However, I am looking for a cold weather boot that will keep my feet dry, snow and slush proof,.

NO way to make it As long as the snow isn't wet or slushy, I'm OK with it
3/5

It is important to note that these boots are not waterproof. As it stands, my son has worn these about three times, or else I It is very unusual for me to write reviews, but I have to share our experience so that no one else is duped into believing these nonsense claims about waterproof boots. He used these in 20 degree weather in the snow at the beginning of this month, and his feet were basically dry - his toes were a little damp, but I credited that It took me only a few minutes to discover that these boots are true to their name. My son was digging in the mud at the park (wearing rain pants pulled over the ankles of his boots, no less), and it became obvious that the boots were absorbing the water like sponges. The socks were absolutely soaked when we got home. I was not aware of this while we were out and up until we got home I did not realize it was happening. My son and his toes are fortunate to have been out on a warm winter day otherwise this could have been a very dangerous situation. When you are simply walking in the rain or under a blanket, whether it is raining or not If your kid likes to play in puddles or mud and jump or splash, these might be ok, but if you expect them to be active or play in wet/slushy snow, this might not be the best option.

Wow! What an amazing idea! It is accurate to say that my daughter is 15 months old and wears a size 5
5/5

It was a great price for the size 6, and I bought it so she can wear it for the longest time In them, my daughter walks perfectly well. She isn't able to climb so well, but there is still plenty of room for growth. Totally adjustable and light in weight, they are extremely convenient You only have to tighten the back strap in the photo. My choices for Bogs were the right ones, and I'm glad to know her feet will be warm and dry when our PNW seasons begin!.

A waterproof seal is not possible
3/5

Despite my best efforts, I got a bad case of It's definitely a slap in the face for the price. I had to wait several months for me to figure out that they are patently defective and not at all waterproof. My child's foot sweating first led me to believe it was snow slipping in the top of the boot, then snow slipping in the top of the boot, but now I am certain it is Despite the hot weather, he wore the shoes for five minutes. The insoles of our shoes were soaked when we came in after 5 inches of snow. There were no slips of snow in them and he didn't wear them long enough that he got I think I have received a defective pair of bogs because this is my second or third pair of bogs and I was never experiencing an issue previously. The discovery was made too late for them to be returned. As well as finding a section of the shoe's inner lining that appeared to have disintegrated completely. I suspected it was shoelace, but it appeared to be soaked after the boots had not been worn for 24 hours. Not sure what it A real disappointment.

The waterproofness of the case has been the subject of many conflicting reviews, so I wanted to throw in The boots we got our 16 month old are really nice. As a Seattle resident, I find it essential to find waterproof boots for my toddler. In addition, you should know that Kiddo has thick calves, so a lot of the high-impact exercises don't work for him My son doesn't like the knee boots, because he had a hard time getting them on without a lot of effort.

I LOVE LOVE these boots and more importantly, so does he. The first time he used them, he pointed at them the whole time, probably because he had finally found a pair that worked well for him. "He is a very capable runner who can run, climb, and walk As far as "waterproof" is concerned, it is virtually impossible to prove. A material similar to neoprene is used for these. While they can handle being wet for a longer time, they resist water for a LONG TIME. It is clear that I have been walking him for two hours in muddy conditions with puddles and mud, and he returns The Puget Sound is where I have seen him wade It is important for your feet to remain dry. There were two scenarios they experienced 1) while caught in a torrential downpour for 15 minutes continuously and were soaked by the end of it and 2) when he wades in the Puget Sound and gets far enough that the water starts coming in through the pulleys. At the bottom of the boot, there are holes. In the case of small children, the water doesn't necessarily need to be that deep to reach The reason why there is a difference in whether or not a "just a puddle" gets the boot wet is likely to be related To me, soaking a boot once in awhile is worth it for an otherwise brilliant boot. Whenever I think there will be a problem, I make sure to have extra socks with me.

Shoes for toddlers that are best for winter
5/5

The fourth pair of Bogs we have purchased for our now 4 year old, and this is our fourth pair. Having been able to put them on himself since he was about 2 1/2, he loves the fact that he can do it. It is not uncommon for him to wear them from fall to spring and they hold up well. I throw them in the washing machine on a weekly basis and they look brand I have to hide the handle with his snow suit to keep the snow from getting in. I would recommend these boots if you need snow boots, but I am not sure they are the best. Despite their high price, they have been good value for money and I will continue to purchase them. He would still wear them on snow days to school because they are more comfortable than snow boots (just not for playing in the snow!). The price is steep, but they are worth every penny. the quality of these clothes is so great that my 4 month old will be able to wear them and they will look like new even after many washes.

Boots that are great to wear in the rain and snow
5/5

There is a size 4 that I am looking for It took me over five shoe sizes to find the right one for my child, and I ended up with these, which were a touch too big (I think they run large) so she struggled to walk for the first couple of I've used them almost every day for a little while, but I've only had them for a couple months. As long as she does not puddle jump and there is no water inside the shoe handle, her feet are dry and warm. An opening. This pair of boots is paired with Oakiwear rain pants, and my little guy is all set.
