I used them for my newborn daughter and she loved them. We were concerned that our first-born daughter would scratch her face - a common problem for first-time parents. Our only attempt at cutting her nails was to bite them, but we were very nervous about the process. Our other mittens for her did not stay on - we tried several different kinds before this one. Because of the loose fitting and weak elastic, it seemed like only a matter of minutes before she pulled them off. This is so cute! I love it! I have a daughter who was born with a congenital heart defect and had to have surgery soon after birth as a result of which she is on a nasal feeding tube. This style of mittens is my favorite because they have a little wider top than other mittens, so my baby can stretch out her hands without feeling restricted. Having her hands in them all day is great because her hands won't become balled up. Despite having space for her hands, her hands are not cramped. I like the fact that they are soft and that the elastic band around the wrists is relatively snug. Other mittens have looser elastic bands which then stretch It has been more than ten washings so far and they have not stretched out yet nor did they lose their softness. This is definitely a product I would buy The fact that they came in so many colors was also appealing. I really like this! As well as the price, they were great.

My daughter wears these mittens so we can color coordinate her outfits and I purchased them with the intention of having solid colored mittens for her. This is a good thing because the mittens are much bigger than the ones you can buy at Target or Walmart. I found that these also have elastic that works and does not fall off of my daughter's hands like I've included a picture of these mittens and mittens from Target to give you an idea of the size.

Our baby was 21in and 7in. Despite the fact that this was already at his upper limit at the time of birth, he weighed 5lbs at birth. Once we saw how big his hands were and how wide the hole was, it was a no-brainer that we returned them. This pair seemed just a little too tight and the rubber band wasn't as flexible as the band on the other pair. I thought it would have been too limiting. Overall, these were the softest, but as with anything, it depends on what your budget is. Our decision was to return these rather than spend a bit more on softer and larger gloves. We didn't have much luck with these. They might be perfect for smaller babies, but we didn't have much luck with them.
