The instruction manual is great, but it has more pictures than details, so make sure you follow the instructions carefully when assembling it. I really like how easy it is to put together, and how secure it stays after you lock it (and how it swivels easily once unlocked). As far as I know, you can adjust it several times and you can certainly use it upright, but I tend to tilt it down for my product shots.
