The lens is attached to the phone by a clamp. The clamp and the lens are separate pieces; simply clamp the mount to the phone and screw the scope to the clamp. There's no need to be concerned about the screw's size; it could be 7 or 17 mm. Unless you have a tripod I'm not familiar with, all tripods use the same size mounting bolt (unless you have a monstrous tripod). With the lens, there are two rings. Slide the ring over the lens (it has a set screw to secure it) and screw the tripod to the mounting ring through the screw hole on the bottom. There's no need to be concerned about screw size, whether metric or SAE. Due to the inclusion of two mounting rings. This book comes highly recommended.
I'd say yes, given the low price. It took a while to figure out how to connect it to the phone, but the pictures are much clearer and closer. For added stability, I recommend using a tripod.

Please do not waste your time! This product will be of no use. You can only attach it to your phone without a case on (it won't fit around aftermarket protective cases), the mechanism that holds it to your phone renders the screen useless because it thinks it's being touched, the lense is terrible, and you'll never be able to attach it quickly enough in the field to get the shot you want. Unless you want to wear a monocle, this is a useless item. I strongly discourage you from doing so.
You'd expect something made of Chineseium to be of such high quality! Garbage. BUYING THIS PRODUCT IS A MISTAKE!.
It gives you a detailed closeup of whatever you point it at. If you have a tripod, use it, and make sure the auto-focus on your phone is turned off. Because the lens has its own focusing ability, it may interfere with your phone's. If you just want to zoom in and take a close look at something, the lens comes with an eyepiece and can be used without the camera as well.
It appears to be sturdy and well-made. made. What's not to like about something that is simple to use and inexpensive? It's an excellent match for the Ubeesize selfie/extendable tripod. The threading where the lens screws into the lens holder is the only flaw in the lens. It appears to be a tad off-kilter. The spider web photo was taken with my iPhone at full magnification and then with the Apexel 28x lens again. The hummingbird feeder is in the same situation. I'm still shooting at full mag on my iPhone. as well as the video taken with the Apexel lens. This setup is going to greatly improve my birding! br>For the time being, however, I'm thinking it's one of my favorite recent purchases. I would strongly suggest it.
Telephoto lens of high quality.
I needed something that I could take with me on a day trip I had planned. I've been playing with it for a few days now, and I'm really looking forward to using it on my trip. I'm glad I purchased it, and I'd give it to a photography-loving friend or family member. br>br>I liked how I could change the view, which allowed me to change the field of view with a few twists. Because my old one was lost, the remote shutter was a welcome addition; it works with our Apple, LG G8, and Samsung Galaxy S7 phones. It's small and fits into my purse. br>br> It's big and bulky, but it's also strong and easy to handle. I'm excited for my next Apexel filter lens purchase k.
The quality of the Apexel Telephoto Smartphone Lens is impressive, and the actual lens feels as durable as one of those old school Mag flashlights made of durable metal, as you can see in the photos. Install is a breeze thanks to the included carrying case, which includes all necessary clips. I was surprised that it came with an optional remote, which I haven't had the opportunity to use because it might be useful if I purchase the optional stand I saw while looking for accessories. In terms of the photo itself, some of it is due to the photographer's skill, while the rest is due to the lens's quality. It's difficult to argue that there's a cheaper entry point to shooting from a distance than this $50 smartphone lens, especially considering the price point comes from the DSLR world.
The Apexel APL-II was delivered to me. My husband gave me a JS28X 28X telephoto lens to use on my smartphone to photograph birds. I'm sure he did his homework before making a purchase. The metal clip that came with the telephoto lens made it simple to attach it to my phone. A nice lens bag, lens cover, tripod mounting ring, rubber monocular fender, and cleaning cloth were also included. Because of the 28X telephoto lens, I found that having a tripod was necessary for a clear picture, as keeping the phone still with the magnification is difficult. The telephoto lens also came with Bluetooth Remote Shutter, which can be used when the smartphone is mounted on a tripod and the telephoto lens is used to eliminate shake and ensure a clear photo. For a better view of the frame, I also attached the telephoto lens to my tablet. It was a fantastic solution. I was able to take photos and video of objects with my tablet even though I didn't have a tripod (which I had to buy separately). Because my tablet is so thin, I also used a small piece of vinyl (faux leather) to keep the metal clip firmly in place on the front. It's a great telephoto lens for a smartphone or tablet that's also simple to use.
