For years I have repaired my own iPhones using the kit they provide but I have been disappointed with the price of the tools they provide. Sadly, the Tri tip screwdriver didn't work, so I had to switch to an alternative. It was disappointing that the tools were made of cheap metal for a kit that cost over $100.

The screen itself installed well. A number of issues occurred after the installation. There is no pressure sensitivity like on the factor screen, and the light is inactive at times, and I sometimes have trouble getting the keyboard to type In some cases I have to correct gibberish the screen type for me and it can be annoying to do that.

There were decent tools and instructions available to make the installation simple. Not a single thing was exceptional or lacking. The item was purchased. Taking your time and being careful is all it takes to install. The screen protectors that come with the monitor MUST be used. It is impossible to scratch the glass screen with normal use if the screen is not as durable as the original apple screens. Basically, if you have a cracked screen, this may be a satisfactory replacement, but if you have somehow scratched your Apple screen, you should not purchase it.
