These are metal plates with an adhesive backing that you mount to your device; I believe the Scosche Magic Mount uses a magnetic face, so these should work fine; I use them on my GPS and find that they work better than the original one that came with my mount.

The metal doesn't get in the way of the NFC. On my 6 edge, I have a cover with a metal plate attached to it. At Trader Joe's, I slid my phone against the reader while holding the metal piece. With Android Pay, you can get a quick response. The metal plate isn't an issue at all. I rate it a five out of five.
The plates are made of metal. The only magnetic component is the phone holder to which this would be attached; none of the other components are magnetic. The adhesive on one side allows you to stick it to the back of your phone or phone case.

I didn't have to stick it to my phone because it works great behind my Otterbox case. If you don't have to, don't put this on your phone because I've read a lot of reviews about how difficult it is to remove it without causing damage. Also, put the side without the sticky pad instead of the magnetic side (I know both sides are magnetic). Simply slide it into your case, the pad side facing the phone. The metallic side. putting my hand on your bag br>br>The larger rectangular ones have a lot of strength, and I haven't tried the smaller ones yet, but I'm guessing they're fine for smaller phones as well.
Magnetic plates with a lot of power. These plates are ideal for use with cell phones and cases. They aren't noticeable, but they are extremely magnetic and hold the phone in place in the dashboard magnetic phone holders. Update - after a couple of days of using them These magnetic holders and plates have a lot of power. In my case, it was far too powerful. When I tried to remove the phone from the holders, they would not separate, and the entire magnetic holder pulled out of the air vent, remaining stuck to the back of the phone. It was a challenge to remove it by hand. These are extremely potent! Solution. I vertically hacksawed one of the rectangular plates into a piece about 1/3 the size of the original, filed the rough edges smooth where the hacksaw had cut the thing, and then attached the plate to the phone with contact cement on the phone and the back of the smaller piece of plate. Everything went smoothly. The magnetic attraction was reduced to the point where I could remove the phone properly, but the attraction was still strong enough to keep the phone in place after cutting the plate in this way.
For a Samsung S7, I bought this to replace an aging volfon case with a 1" diameter circular medal mount and ring holder combo. For magnetic car mounting support, use a spigen case and these wiz gear metal tiles. br>The volfon case, with its key ring, is nice for holding but terrible for magnetic mounts. The spigen is on top, and the volfen is on the bottom in the first image. There was an air gap between the tpu case and the rubber, causing a clicking sound similar to that of a milk cap. br>br>Overview: This product is self-explanatory and includes four self-adhesive disks. It is possible that you will not need to use the adhering. That was not the case. It works fine when installed between the tpu/rubber layer; the mounts withstand bumps and taps without falling off while driving.
In comparison to my old phone case, which had a built-in plate on the back, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they adhered. br>I used two rectangle plates, positioned horizontally for more magnetic area, and adhered them to the inside of my iPhone 8 Plus case rather than to the phone itself. br>Because the back of my phone is glass, it'll be interesting to see if they scratch it. If that's the case, I'll tape them to the phone, but they're smooth and light. I don't see any problems. br>Would recommend to anyone, and at a great price!.
Use between the phone and the case is not recommended. I bought it to use with my magnetic car mount magnet to keep my iPhone 8 Plus in place while I was driving. I used to have a magnetic case, but it broke and it is no longer available. Both of the large square magnets between my phone and the case (thin silicone case) were ineffective in holding my phone on the dash mount. Every time there was a bump in the road, it would fall off. Magnets that are extremely weak.
I bought this system a few years ago because I didn't have any other options for mounting my phone on my dash than the vents. WizGear provided mounting solutions for a wide range of applications. It was a total success. It was never a concern that the magnets would lose their grip. It worked equally well whether the phone's magnet was on the phone or on the protective case outside. After losing my extra magnets in a move, I was unable to mount my phone on the dash when I lost my phone. I was relieved to see that the business was still selling its wares. This product has exceeded my expectations; simply place it against the holder and it will stay in place no matter how rough the roads are.
The metal plates also scratched the back of my phone, resulting in a loss of trade-in value. in value. The metal plate was removed because the product with which it was supposed to work was terrible. The clip for the car vent Rubber prongs on the surface on which the metal plate adheres have worn down over time, revealing hidden metal prongs beneath. I've attached a photo of the damage it caused to my car vent. To fix my car vent, I'll have to pay ten times the price of the metal plates and phone holder. WizGear was only able to offer me a refund for the metal plates and the holder when I contacted them about the problem. Meanwhile, I'm stuck paying for their shoddy workmanship! Stay as far away from this product as you possibly can.
I recently acquired a Pixel 4a 5G as well as the Spigen Tough Armor case. The WizGear Mount Metal Plate magnets aren't strong enough to hold the phone in place, so I'll have to stick the metal plate to the back of the phone case, which I don't want to do. The metal plate on my previous phone case was unsightly and inconvenient to hold. I was hoping the magnets would be strong enough without having to stick them on, but I'll have to look into a different product; I also tried using multiple magnets within the case, but no difference or improvement was noticed. I would also advise against sticking the metal plate directly to your phone because you will be unable to remove it without causing damage to the phone or case.
