For my Ford Cmax, I purchased a sticky mat. I mounted it on the passenger side of the dashboard; it adheres to it without the use of permanent adhesive and securely holds my smartphone. It's as if it's a magnet for it. So far, I haven't noticed any residue on the dashboard or on my smartphone. Given that I've only had this sticky mat for a day, I'll have to wait and see how it holds up to various weather conditions. It appears to be promising so far, and I would recommend it.
It performs admirably. In Florida, however, it is no match for the summer heat. The edges have literally MELTED into a huge sticky gooey mess all the way around. As a result, I strongly recommend this product for use in cooler climates, but not in Florida. other areas that are similarly hot.
Is the top sticky enough to keep my phone from falling out of my glove box? However, the pad's bottom isn't sticky enough to keep it from slipping off. br>Will send it back and replace it with a more sticky pad.
My bobble heads, meanwhile, remain firmly planted on the mat.
Much better than the small ones they replaced in terms of space for sunglasses, cell phones, and other items.
I used mine to cut into smaller pieces to replace rubber pieces that were no longer tacky in storage compartments, and it worked out great.
I'd put my phone or something else in there, and it would occasionally fall out as I rounded corners or bumped into something. Everything is now in one place because I cut it down to size. It has made me very happy.
