I've had mine for about a year and a half and only take it off to wash it. There has yet to be any damage. Because it's so sticky, I covered a large portion of the pad's bottom to make it easier to remove and less likely to cause damage (which hasn't happened yet). My car spends the majority of its time in a garage, but it survived ten days in the scorching Utah sun. It's fantastic, and I'm glad I brought it with me on a 4000-mile road trip. My Subaru Forester's top dash cubby is perfect for it.

In our RV, I use a smartphone dash cam and purchased a friction-based jaw clamp to keep the phone in place while it's being used. The clamp's large base is supposed to stick to the dash board well enough that it won't move during the drive, but I found that it tended to rotate, and I had to correct the positioning every 10 to 15 minutes, more on a rough road and less on a smooth one. I bought this to go under the clamp's base in the hopes that the sticky pad would hold both the clamp base and the dash board in place enough to stop the rotation, and it worked perfectly. br>br>The one issue I have with this pad is that it appears to collect dust while in use, and I'm concerned that once enough dust adheres to the surface, it will no longer be "sticky" enough to hold the clamp base, forcing me to either buy another one or do without. So far, I've driven for four days and there's enough dust on the pad to be noticeable. I find that I have to remove the pad at the end of each day's drive and reapply the two pieces of plastic to protect the pad from further dust and dirt, which is the only reason I gave the review only four stars. I'm not sure if this will be a serious issue or not, but it is the sole reason I gave the review only four stars. There are no instructions for cleaning the pad so that it can regain its "stickiness. ".
It's just right where I needed it to be. Even when I go around a sharp corner, I can put my sunglasses and phone on it and they won't fall off. My phone has a pop socket, and I can prop it on the mat with the pop socket open while driving, and it will stay in place. The mat can be soaked in water if it becomes dirty or dusty, and it will still be sticky.

The mat performs admirably, but there is an annoyance in the design. The side that faces up is sparkly and reflects in the windshield, so I'm distracted by the image of it in my windshield, which obstructs my view, for the entire time I'm driving. I solved the problem by turning it upside down, but now that the sticker side is facing up, it doesn't adhere to the dashboard as well, making it difficult to remove my GPS when I'm not using it and don't want it to be seen by potential car thieves.
Heavy-duty construction. I couldn't have asked for a better solution. We've been taking some extra-long drives over the holidays. When all else fails, we'll turn to the Fire 7 tablet. We placed the Fire tablet on the center armrest, but there was a problem. Fire would fly every time I turned a corner. I didn't want to make the headrest holder because it would only be seen by one child. This pad was given to me. It's ideal; it's just the right width. Enough to be sticky. I'll be able to remove it and clean it. Done.
This is a big, thick mat. It's also quite sticky. To get things off of it, I have to pull very hard, which is a good thing. This product is ideal for use at home or in the car. When I'm driving, I use it to keep my tissue box or phone from falling out. In addition, it's a great addition to the home. Anything that slides will now be glued down, including keys, tablets, and phones. Simply wash it from time to time to restore the stickiness that has been lost due to dust or dirt. br>Worth the money I paid and would recommend to others.
The vehicle is constantly exposed to the scorching Florida sun. This dash pad has not melted or deformed in my experience. It's also simple to take care of. This is a dash pad that I would buy again without hesitation.
I bought this pad after seeing one in a friend's vehicle and how well it kept my phone secure while I was riding with them.
