Last summer, it melted without a hitch, even though I was gone for weeks at a time, with my car parked in the sun.
No, it simply sits there. And it doesn't slide because it doesn't have a sticky bottom.
It's about the same thickness as a mouse pad.
I'm not sure, but it could be a problem. Do you want to keep the light from coming in? Google "stealth van camping, light block Windows" to get some foil-backed bubble wrap or contact paper (like you'd use to line drawers).

This is the second of two that I brought. They were so soft that after three weeks, one of them had leeched into the wood nightstand on which it had been placed. I needed to scrape off as much of the rubbery plastic as possible without damaging the wood finish. I was never able to completely remove it, and it became a part of the surface it was on. br>br>The other, on the other hand, had the same issue but on a different surface. If used on a car dashboard, they will melt, so I would only recommend them for short-term use in a garage or tool environment. Use it only on surfaces where you don't mind the anti-slip mat damaging the surface.
It's quite satisfactory. It does not allow things to fall through the cracks. I can't say that it doesn't slide around on the dashboard. However, it does what it is supposed to do for the most part. br>br>Because of a recent experience, I'm updating this. This thing is incredibly durable. When weight is placed on the mat, it does not move, and everything that is placed on it remains in place. Things get bumpy because I drive a manual Jeep. I went to get food for a group of people the other day. Drinks were included in the meal. Take a look at this image. I didn't even look at the drinks the entire way home. Thanks to this mat, they were able to complete the task perfectly.
Other items are held in place by this. There's no muss, no fuss, and no messes! It doesn't have any adhesive on the bottom, but it does a good job of staying in place. This is a useful feature because it can be easily removed and replaced without causing a clog. br>br>If you have a Lexus IS250, this will fit almost perfectly in the nook in the center of the dash in front of the navigation screen. It has to curve up a little to fit into the nook's sides, but it covers the entire area and makes excellent use of the space. br>br>I can throw my phone (which is the primary use for this), sunglasses, or almost anything else on there and it will stay put. In the car, the diamond pattern design is also attractive. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a large dash pad.
With a little glue, this product could be amazing. It slid right off my car's dashboard, and anything I put on it slid right off as well. To see an example of inertia, use this product. Oh, but I have one on my nightstand with a flat surface where I can read my Kindle while lying in bed. This has proven to be extremely effective in keeping it from slipping away. However, I wouldn't trust it on any kind of slope.
The heat of our Ohio sun causes them to curl up. They were purchased for my wife's Jeep's dash in order to keep things from slipping off the plastic dash, which they do. In about three months, they simply curl up from the sun's heat. When she gets home, she parks in the garage, but at work, she parks in a parking lot. So it's not like the vehicle is exposed to the sun 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In any case, I thought it was important for everyone to be aware!.
I adore it when something can be used in a variety of ways. I'm sure it'd look great on your dashboard and stay put. I have a slick desk, and things constantly fly off of it, so I put two of these on each of my desks, and everything stays put. I wouldn't put hot food on it because it absorbs heat well. I was on the verge of ruining one by doing so.
I've bought three of these so far, with more on the way for co-workers. workers. This non-slip mat keeps my notebook, clock, and pen in place. It securely grips items and can be kept clean with a quick wash if it becomes dusty. If you're moving from vehicle to vehicle in a fleet arrangement, I recommend keeping the shipping backing so you have a clean surface to store it on. It's great for holding keys, phones, and other small items.
The photo does not do it justice; it's a little larger than I anticipated, but that's not a problem. To keep things from flying off, I place it on the minivan's center consul. It is doing an excellent job. The picture provided by the manufacturer does not do it justice; the top side has small squares that keep things from getting in the way. When I take a quick turn, my sunglasses dig into the small squares and refuse to move.
