I don't believe so, but my dash and pad are both black.
There's no odor that I can detect, and it's been cold here since I installed mine, but I haven't noticed any difference even when parked in the sun. It's not thin; rather, it's thick and cushiony.
1/8" is a good guess. Maybe a little more; I use it to keep batteries from sliding around, and it works perfectly. has lasted a long time. It's truly incredible.
That's a good question; I've had mine for a while, and I'm going to put my sunglasses on it. The pad is firmly attached to the dash and can only be removed by peeling it away. Because it's so hot here in Vegas, I don't use it, but I was curious, so I put my phone on the pad several times just now and it lifted up without issue. Every time, the pad remained securely in place.

It's not going to come off! My brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee has a permanently defaced dashboard, which is fine if you have an old vehicle with no regard for the interior.
This is a review for the (Pack of 2) Extra Thick Sticky Anti-Slip Mat. Miniature Slip Gel Pad PREMIUM UNIVERSAL NON-TOXIC PRODUCT FROM THE FACTOR At the time of this writing, I've had the Slip Dashboard Mat for two months. It was incredibly sticky, to say the least. It's on the verge of becoming overly sticky. I waited a few weeks before writing this review to see how long the stickiness would last, and you'll notice that it still gets five stars so far. I even put a GoPro suction cup mount on it (without engaging the suction) and recorded some footage to see if it would help dampen the vibration, and it worked perfectly. I didn't leave it on for very long because I didn't trust it to keep it for an extended period of time; it worked fine and didn't fail; it was just my fears that caused me to stop using it. I have a phone case with a hard plastic piece that snaps into place on the back to add strength, and if I'm not careful and put too much of that in contact with the sticky pad, it sticks to the pad when I pick up the phone, forcing me to peel it off the pad and reapply it to my phone. That isn't significant, but it does demonstrate how sticky the pad is. I can put my sunglasses on it and only a small portion of the frame or temples will touch the pad, so they won't come loose or fall over. So far, it hasn't lost any of its gripping power on me. Just a couple of points to consider: my car is almost always in the garage, and since I'm retired, it doesn't sit in a parking lot during the day when I'm at work, so it hasn't been exposed to direct sunlight or been in a hot sun baked car. It hasn't been left out in the cold during the winter, where it could freeze. If anything occurs in the future that causes me to change my rating, I will update this and notify you.
We've been taking longer road trips, and I wanted something to keep my smartphone and small tablet in while we're on the road. br>br>These are extremely effective. The pad is thicker than most, and it also appears to be tackier. We aren't making any sharp turns or riding on particularly rough terrain, but we are in a stop-and-go situation. On expressways, there may be stop-and-go traffic. br>br>In those situations, my phone stays put, and my 8" tablet is mostly held. br>br>I've had no problems with these pads so far, and I'd buy them again. There's a lot to take in here- I bought it to keep my phone/vape unit from sliding off my center console while driving, and it can be cut to size. It's fantastic! Sticky to the extreme! I wash it under water with a little soap when it becomes dusty. like it was brand new. I needed a much smaller piece, so I simply cut it down. There's still a lot more I can do! *I've read reviews (on similar products) claiming they're so sticky they'll rip the paint off your phone case - I just wanted to point out that this has not been my experience. I, on the other hand, do not leave my phone on for long periods of time. a long time in the same place If I were in charge of the wheel, The sun was shining brightly- I'm not sure how long I'll be able to leave my phone there. Just keep it simple. This item is going to be a hit with you.
Levels of Grip: Approved by the Crazy (Taxi) Driver. It's even possible that it'll be acceptable for off-season use. a trip on the road br>* Restored with Ease: If there is a lot of dust, wash it under the tap. br>* Two uber-comfortable pads with uber-comfortable pads with uber-comfortable pads with On both sides, there is a sticky gel. To re-use it, you'll have to peel it away. put it in the right place. Other Remarks: br>br> I bought these mats because I keep knocking my phone over in the middle of the night or early in the morning. Its stickiness far outstripped my expectations! I expected it to be similar to the soothing gel found in shoes- not the same as almost glue! Exposing it to dust and other particles will usually reduce its grip, but it will still cling well. If it becomes too dusty and loses its effectiveness, simply wash it under water and dry it. When I put some bread flour on as a test, it washed off with frightening ease.
First and foremost, I'd give this a five-star rating if the gel pads were as large as I anticipated. It's my fault; I failed to notice the dimensions listed on the website. I looked at so many of these before deciding on this one that I had a mental image of a much larger gel pad. This company, however, compensates you for my error by providing you with two pads. So I stacked them on the Jeep's dashboard next to each other. br>br>They stay put, and whatever you put on them stays put as well. Just make sure the surface you'll be using it on is clean. If you don't, it will stick to the dirt or dust and, as a result, will not adhere as well to the surface you're working with. Each pad can fit a phone the size of a Samsung Galaxy 8. They're well-made, and there aren't any flaws that I can see. If that changes, I'll make a note of it in this review.
It's sticky and holds things in place well. However, after a year in the Southwestern sun, the mat edges have turned to goo, and touching an edge leaves your hand with black marks.
I had to cut mine up for a custom fit, which was a challenge due to their thickness. The one on the dash does exactly what it should; It adheres well to the surface and does not leave any residue. It collects dust and pollen a little faster than the rest of the neighborhood. This can be fixed with a quick wipe with a damp cloth or by removing it and rinsing it. br>br>I cut the second mat to fit a set of unlined cup holders; I'm not particularly neat, but on longer road trips, I like to keep things tidy. These custom liners aid in this endeavor while also preventing my prized possessions (sea shells, interesting pebbles, and so on) from rattling around in my cup holder. Cutting was challenging, and I recommend using good stout scissors instead of an exacto knife if you go this route.
