You wouldn't be able to use the phone properly if a magnet was placed directly on it, which would interfere with its compass and GPS functions. It appears that the description says you will need a magnetic phone mount. There's no mention of a magnetic ring in the statement.

The attached ring is easy to rotate on mine, so I did not have any problems. The ring fits my finger so I put it inside it and release Adjust it slowly so it is pointing at your desired location. I've found it to be okay since I got it in March up until now in September. It is excellent how sticky it is. Toward the end of July, the ring felt a bit shaky. Due to its looseness, it could no longer be used as a stand. Although the sticky was good, it was too cold to eat it. Since the adhesive on the phone is still good, I left it on my phone. wasn't bothered by the fact that the stand didn't work because that's not what I bought it for in the first place. I was trying to avoid dropping my phone more often, so I bought it as one more form of insurance. I didn't really realize that that looseness was caused by that thing being basically falling apart! I was under the impression that the stand simply needed to be tightened However, this is not true! What a big mistake I made in assuming that! While I was walking through the grocery store, I stopped to buy a few things. When I carry my cell phone by its ear, I sometimes do so by its ring. All of a sudden, my freaking $1600 phone falls off! I lost the ring because it suddenly broke! It just snapped The reason I wait a while before writing reviews is because of this! I would've given it a false impression five stars if I had written it back in April as it seemed excellent at the time! The only difference is that there is now just one star because I can't put a negative rating! am delighted with this ring holder and so glad I bought it. However, I wish I had purchased a black or silver In my picture you can see that the Rose Gold coin is a full-blown copper color, as you can see from the comparison. It should be pale pink, not copper, when it comes to rose gold. I did not have any problems sticking to the case (hard plastic) and the ring is stiff enough to hold my phone steady but loose enough to be able to move it wherever I need it. My opinion is that the ring design is far superior to the popsocket, which I tried for a day or two before I hated it. A pop socket looks cheap and awkward, whereas this ring looks classier and can be used both to hold your phone in place and to stand it up in any position. Additionally, the product comes with two extra 3M adhesives, so if one does lose its stickiness, the other one can be placed over it and you can continue to use.
