Is the full price of $25 worth it? Is the sticky stuff strong enough to hold an Iphone X that weighs a lot?

In January of 2017, I purchased this for my daughter. Wisconsin is a state in the United States with a population of over a million people It's something she really enjoys. After 18 months, it, however, broke. She's asking for another, so I'll place an order for the most recent version. She has an iPhone 8 Plus and a case that can hold four cards. There are five credit card-style cards in total. So it's a bit bulky, but it kept my phone safe. As a result, I believe it is $25 well spent. I'm hoping whatever went wrong has now been fixed. But even if it didn't, she'll be content if it lasts another 18 months. She drives a 2016 Honda CRV and placed the pad in front of the secondary screen on a flat surface.

Is it possible to use it with a phone case that is quite thick?

I have an otter case with a pop socket that will not stay on because it is too thick. I had to go back. It would be a fantastic product to hold my phone if it didn't have the pop socket.

What is the cradle's width? (How big can a phone get before it's too big?

This was plenty wide enough for my iPhone 8 Plus, which was protected by an Otterbox Defender (not a slim combination).

If your vehicle has been exposed to a lot of sunlight or heat, be cautious
3/5

In March of 2018, I purchased this item. It worked for a month or two, but then the suction cup began to come loose more frequently. I followed the directions and rinsed it with warm water before air drying it. For a short time, this worked, but as the weather warmed up, it began to fall off. It was pointless to try to get it back in place once summer arrived. Because of the heat, my dashboard's pad eventually dislodged itself. The holder itself appeared to be well-made, but it was a shame it didn't stay in place.

When the sun isn't shining, it works best
3/5

It worked extremely well at first. I didn't shake my Moto Z Play when I was holding it. It was extremely difficult to move it to a new location. Then it happened: I parked on a day with over 4 hours of direct sunlight, and the suction gum melted. It's now a waste of time.

This is a significant improvement
5/5

Information on the subject: br>I purchased the Easy One Touch 4 in the fall of 2018 because of its features and price, but I still use the original because it still works and there is nothing ground-breaking about it. The truth has been revealed. It only needs to be capable of holding a phone. The only issue I had with the Easy One Touch 4 was the adhesive peeling off after a few months, but I was able to get a replacement in a matter of days [via RMA]. I bought the Easy One Touch 4 for family and friends several more times because of the price/performance ratio and after-sales support, and I wanted to see if the Easy One Touch 5 had improved significantly, so I ordered it. packaging: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b br>The packaging is nearly identical, though the sizing chart has been removed, and the stock image now depicts the mount in a "luxury" vehicle. This indicates that the company is attempting to move upstream [which is fine], but I doubt most people would use a phone mount if their car already has built-in infotainment/GPS. The packaging has been improved, but the color scheme has not changed. The font appears to have changed as well, but aside from environmentally conscious individuals, I doubt anyone is concerned about the packaging. Each component is given its own bag within the container. Apart from completely sealing the outermost box, this is the best option for preventing dust and/or adhesive damage. The manual is available in a variety of languages and explains how to use the most recent feature. a charger cable holder that is magnetic; Later on, I'll expand on this. br>br>Initial Impression: br>The piano gloss black has been replaced with a less fingerprint-prone matte black, and the "push panel" has been updated to a more subdued and trimmer soft-touch finish. Rubber should be touched. The brand name has been removed from the push panel that is used to retract the arms automatically, but it now has a texture. This is a wise design choice because it reduces tooling costs and gives the product a more premium appearance. something that the packaging tries to convey as well. All rubber grips have been slightly modified to provide a surface with increased grip and depth to aid in the secure holding of a phone. I've never had a problem with devices falling out, but it's nice to know. More information: br>br> br>The suction cup and tab mechanism is largely unchanged and intuitive; there's no reason to change something that works well. As a side note, the instructions clearly state that the base and arm must be "cured" for a certain amount of time and at a certain temperature before being mounted. If you don't follow the instructions carefully, the adhesive will not form a strong bond and may come loose. Additionally, if you have a car with a rubber dashboard or one that has been recalled due to UV degradation (google car dashboard melting recalls), you may have a problem with the adhesive. This isn't to say it won't work, but if you're working with a mid-range budget, it might be a better option. If you park your Toyota Camry in the sun in the 2000s, the suction cup may have melted. The Magnetic Cord Organizer: br>br>The Magnetic Cord Organizer: br>br>The Magnetic Cord Organizer: br> br>A small black rubber strip with two magnets on opposite ends [similar to a Breathe Right strip] can be found inside the box. This is to keep your charging cable from falling between your chair and the center console, or anywhere else you don't want it to. The cable can rest in a neutral position on most phones and cases, and everyone I showed it to had no problems using it with their phone. Changes: br>br> br>In case you have a long dashboard or want your phone to be as close to you as possible, the arm now extends an additional 3 inches (8 total). The back of the device's tension mount has been thickened, strengthened, and threading has been improved. In comparison to last year's model, it is easier to work with. Although the feet can still be adjusted, they are no longer controlled by a dial. The same piece of plastic that held the magnetic cord organizer can now be pushed (gently) towards the user and moved up and down according to the phone's height. Notes: br>br> br>This device comes with wireless charging options, but I don't think the extra cost is justified- To mount your phone, you must still touch it; the process takes three minutes. After 5 seconds of plugging in your phone, the cable will be directly beneath the mount. TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL DR It's the best car mount in its price range that I'm aware of.

In the worst of circumstances, you'll be able to keep a firm grip on your phone
5/5

The phone holder - the most important part, as it secures your $1,000 investment - is a fantastic product. There was no way to get it out of the bracket no matter how hard it shook. (Watch the video) The mount bar and sticky pad have yet to be tested, but I'm not concerned about them. I'll update the review once I've installed the mount in the car using the sticky pad and suction cup that came with it. Now is the time to - 5+ stars; I've never had a mount as sturdy as this one, with the option of displaying the phone in portrait or landscape mode. br>br>The Mount for a Car: br>Easy to set up, with a great design and functionality. Very flexible and sturdy, and it adheres well to the provided pad. Height, reach, angle, and orientation of the chair are all easily adjustable. The magnetic cord holder is a bit of a ruse - Wrapping the cable around the mount is also a simple process. The package as a whole continues to impress me. Details: br>br> br>Made of solid plastic with reinforcements. Shearing off isn't going to happen in the middle of anything resembling normal use. In contrast to most other mounts I've seen, the side grip bars don't touch any buttons. br>With a single squeeze, it's simple to release. br>It's simple to put in - The wide side bars snap shut with a press of a button. In a thick case, it fits the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. br>None of the cameras are covered. Yes, you can use this as a car mount to record video.

UPDATED: After the return window closes, it will melt off your dash
3/5

The sun appears to have melted off the base after about 4 months of use, and that was during the winter. I use it maybe twice a month and don't plug my phone in when I'm not using it. This melted off in the winter when the sun isn't shining as brightly. This is frustrating because I can no longer return it. DO NOT BUY if you plan to put it on your dashboard because it will reportedly melt after three days in the sun. 4 months. I'm so disappointed!.

Doesn't follow through on the promise of dash
3/5

The description of this item stated that it would stick to my dash, so I purchased it. That wasn't the case. A permanent adhesive patch was included in the package, which had to be "stuck" to the dash. I followed the instructions to the letter, even going out of my way to clean and dry my dash before applying the adhesive patch. I gave it ten minutes to cure, but as soon as I attached the suction cup and unit, everything fell apart. It was no longer useful after that. Returning a product for a refund.

It's still good, but not quite as good as it could be
3/5

This item has been downgraded to three stars because the dashboard pad has failed after three months, and I now need to contact customer service to request a replacement pad. See the photo of the pad forming a bubble that I posted earlier. br>br>This is my third purchase of the IOttie, and while I would buy it again, there are a few things I'd like to point out. I have an iPhone, and the vibrations from the road cause the phone's bottom to slam forward on occasion. It doesn't fall out, but it does move forward, which wasn't the case with the previous model. Another thing I've noticed is that it wiggles a lot and isn't as solid as I had hoped. Aside from that, I would recommend it.
