The answer is yes! In the beginning, I used it twice a week, and now I have to use it only once a month or two times a month. I can see a decrease in the overall amount of hair at this point after eight weeks, yet strangely the individual hairs do not seem any thinner or finer at this time. Now, unfortunately, I haven't seen the same results in the armpit and bikini area. Using the treated and untreated sides I have tried plucking hairs from both sides and comparing their results. I've noticed that some of the hairs from the treated side are certainly shorter, but not all of them. The amount of ingrown hairs I get, the density of the hair, and the thickness of the hair are equally the same as the untreated side. As far as smoothness goes, I have not noticed any difference after a hot shower. While I do use artificial tanning lotion, it is not recommended to use IPL when done that way. This product was the subject of some research before I purchased it. You may be scared by the bright light that appears to be coming from this laser hair removal device, but it does not hurt. It will feel like heat on your skin, so don't be concerned. You will, however, need a pair of sun glasses to protect your eyes, and it does come with a pair of them in the box. I have been using this product for almost two weeks, I will continue to use it for at least three months as instructed. The instruction guide is pretty informative, I have been using this product for a little more than two weeks and I can definitely feel a reduction in hair density.
