Questions & Answers

Which razor blades should I use with these?

There are double edge razor blades with platinum coating, the type of razor you want is one that's DE safety razor, it comes in two types - it's a butterfly or twist handle, it's an inverted handle. The next thing to think about is what you're going to shave with it: your face or your legs. Different razors have different blade gaps set by their plates and the face guide, the metal strip the blade sits above, which can be mild or aggressive. Soft facial hair requires mild, while coarse hair, like mine, requires more aggression. a proposal Edwin Jagger makes the de89L, a three-part razor with smooth or lined handles that costs around £30. The other end of the spectrum is a Parker 99R Butterfly, which costs around £25, and is a heavy weight that requires caution when shaving; no pressing is required; it will do the job on its own weight. I realize this is a long post, but razors and wet shaving are a personal choice in terms of soaps, creams, and other preparations; take your time and the results will come in the end. I'm hoping this helps in some way.

Isn't this a total of 300 razor blades from three 100-packs? Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank ?

Yes. 3 packs of 100 blades are included in this listing. There are 300 blades in total.

How long does it take for both sides of the blade to become dull after shaving?

The average number of shaves depends on the type of razor you're using and the type of facial hair you have. A double edge razor will give you four shaves, while a shavette will give you eight. Astra blades are the second best in the world, with Feather from Japan topping the list. Despite this, Astra blades are much less expensive per shave, costing around 10p each. I hope this has been of assistance.

Will these blades fit the Walker and Company Bevel razor?

It'll work with it as long as it's a double-bladed safety razor.

This isn't the genuine article
3/5

I've been a long-time user of Astra blades and love them, but these can't possibly be Ginuwine! At first, I assumed the lack of graphics was a cost-cutting measure, but I'm convinced they're knockoffs. The blades are much thinner than usual, ripping your skin apart, so if you're looking for the Astra Blad you're used to, look elsewhere!.

THESE ARE, UNFORTUNATELY, A POOR IMITATION
3/5

These Astra Platinum Double Edge Blades are not the same quality as the Astra Platinum Blades I purchased in a high-end shave shop, and I have reason to believe that these bargain blades are counterfeits, reproductions, or similar. It's very unfortunate when one spends their hard-earned money on something that is supposed to be legitimate but turns out to be anything but. The dealer provides no evidence to back up the claims of legitimacy, claiming that they were purchased in bulk from an import distribution dealer and that they have no way of knowing whether the product is genuine or a knockoff. The buyer assumes all risk when making a purchase. Last but not least, I'll keep buying personal care products from reputable stores because they only work with reputable vendors and stand behind everything they sell.

They're fantastic
5/5

Sharpness and smoothness are in perfect balance. I tried another popular brand, and while they were noticeably sharper, they didn't glide across my face as smoothly as these did. For beginners, a blade must be more than sharp to provide a good shave, and what works on one's face may not work on another's. For me, this is the ideal blade. I can easily get a week out of them by shaving my face every day and twice on my head; I could probably go longer, but what's the point at this price? Even a daily replacement blade would be less expensive than disposables.

Purchase them as soon as possible
5/5

This is by far one of the best Amazon deals, with 300 blades for such a low price. I've gotten 6 blades from a single blade in a specific timeless razor. 3pass shaves so far with only one blade, which is fantastic and well worth the money. Get them while they're still available.

For me, it was a nightmare
3/5

I used to use a different brand and had a lot of luck with it - Unfortunately, when I needed more blades, those were out of stock, so I ordered the Astras based on reviews. To this point, I've used about 25 blades and have always felt like they get dull after one use and nick me a lot more than my previous brand; the most recent pack I opened leaves my face looking like hamburger, and I've never had so many nicks shaving before - More than ten in one shave; the rest are going in the trash, and I'll be switching back to my regular brand.

After almost two years of wet shaving and experimenting with various blades, I have to say that Astra is by far one of the best blades I've used, with the perfect balance of smoothness and sharpness
5/5

The new labeled blades are just as good as the old ones, despite popular belief that newer blades are less well-made. I put them through a blind test and weighed both blades on a jeweler's scale, and they were exactly the same.

For the money, it's a good deal
5/5

These blades are a great deal. However, there is one caveat: make sure you use high-quality shaving foam. I used a cheaper brand (not Gillette) and got a lot of nicks and cuts, but since switching to the regular foamy Gillette brand, I haven't gotten any razor cuts. I get 5 days out of one side of the blade, so a full blade will last me 10 days. I should be able to get 8 hours of use out of 300 blades. 21 years.

I can use a if I use it with a safety razor
5/5

I can use a new blade every day for about the same price as one pack of Gillette blades when I use a safety razor. I'm not sure why I waited so long to switch after paying such exorbitant prices.
