Make use of the security personnel! I'm guessing you're referring to a trim rather than a shave. To shorten the hair, trim it with the guards on, then shave it cleanly with a razor. People who do not use the guards are making a huge mistake! Who in their right mind would use clippers like that on their skin? You deserved to be nicked if you did that.
The question refers to head hair trimming (medium/heavy duty) rather than just facial hair trimming (light/medium duty). Yes, you can use it to shave your head's hair. I have one of these and use it for this purpose. In fact, that's the safest place to use it because if you're not careful, the cutting tines will draw blood from your neck/face if they're pressed against your flesh at an angle that's too high.
Is it 110 volts or 100 volts? 110 volts is what I use. Please double-check before making a purchase.
Rather than a model with attachments for specific lengths, you'll most likely need to find one that is adjustable. There does not appear to be a 2mm attachment available for this model from Philips Norelco. You could try contacting Philips Norelco at 800-247-4747. 243- 3050

I used this to shave my entire body and ended up with a large ball of hair the size of my fist, which I flushed down the toilet because I didn't want anyone to know I shaved myself. This was a bad idea because the drain became clogged. br>br>Needless to say, our entire bathroom floor is flooded, and a plumber is currently repairing the toilet as I type. br>br>I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
I'm writing this review one month and two days after purchasing the product, and it has performed admirably during that time. This product provides excellent trimming results, but as I write this review, I can hear the trimmer buzzing because it is stuck in the "on" position. I'm not sure what happened, but this morning I was startled awake by the sound of the trimmer turning on by itself. There is no way to turn it off because the front button no longer works. I'm just sitting here hoping that it will die soon. br>br>What's really unfortunate is that the product was probably the best trimmer I've ever used when it was working properly. Now. It's now the most vexing aspect of my living space.
In June 2017, I bought it. It was performing admirably. It then abruptly ceased to function. I tried charging it completely, but it didn't respond. It is not going to power up again. I expected it to last much longer than six months.

To keep my beard, chest hair, and head hair in check, I use the nose hair adapter and several guards. It also works well as an edger and has a long battery life. My $300 Wella trimmer finally died, and I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on something I could get for a lot less. I decided to buy this after doing some research and reading other reviews, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Excellent product; I received more than my money's worth. This would also be an excellent present.
I only used it once and will not use it again because it has no guards and I had to go over my cheek area several times to get a semblance of a line, and even then I'll need a razor blade to clean up the patchy mess. When I groomed my neck, it was obvious that the groomer couldn't draw a straight line, and when I tried to clean up the area around my lip, I cut myself - That has never happened to any of the groomers I've used in the past (and I've used a lot). That's when I noticed my neck was bleeding in a few places. With the guard, it's a nightmare!! I had hoped that with the guard, I would be able to at least groom the beard. I went about my business as usual - I combed out my beard, then used a downward stroke with the groomer. My growth was ruined, with patches appearing all over the place. This groomer is a turd; I've had Norelcos before, but never to this extent. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A NICE BEARD AND/OR WORRY ABOUT YOUR SKIN.
Initially, I was a fan of this product; it looked and performed admirably the first two times I used it on my husband, and he used it about once a week after that. Two more times, and it still won't turn on for some reason. To give it the benefit of the doubt, we charged it for 48 hours, but it simply will not turn back on. This product has a great idea, but I feel like I've wasted my money on a product that I've only used a few times and now it's broken, SMH.
It's a little noisy, but the benefits far outweigh this. I've heard the word "brain surgery" three times now, and certain parts of my head are extremely sensitive. br>br>This little guy cleans up the most delicate parts of my head without causing any pain or missing any spots. Because of its small size, it's easy to hold and allows for a more precise shave, so rushing and crooked lines are a thing of the past. I've tried at least four other razors, but this one is the best. The reassembly of the piece after cleaning perplexed me a little, but it was otherwise simple and convenient. Phillips is my favorite brand (I had one with a cord years ago and loved it) and I would recommend it to anyone. I wish it came with a case or bag, but at the end of the day, that just means less waste. For what it does, the price is unbeatable.
This trimmer is unbeatable in terms of value. This trimmer would have easily cost me $50. It has a solid build, is sleek, and ergonomically comfortable in the hand, as well as being extremely attractive. It doesn't have the same cheap, fragile appearance as other trimmers. The nose hair trimming attachment is incredible, and it's the best I've ever used. All of the attachments and clips that come with the kit are used by me. br>br>I like my beard to be a little longer than just stubble, a little more "scruffy" if you will. The grey beard attachments glide smoothly across the skin without causing discomfort, and the motor is powerful enough that it only takes a few passes to trim all of the hairs. Because different parts of my face grow in more densely than others, I use the three shortest attachments. When I'm done, my beard has a picture-perfect evenness to it, which excites me because my appearance is important in my line of work. br>br>The hair trimming attachments are a real find in this product that I had not expected to use. I never would have thought to use them if it hadn't been for the product video. Because I like to keep my hair longer on top to style it, I use the longest length to trim the sides of my head around my ears. This attachment keeps it short enough to hide the scalp and skin underneath. I'm able to go longer between haircuts now, which saves me both time and money. br>br>The only problem I have with this product is that my hair does not grow quickly enough to justify using it every day. Turning it on is something I'm really looking forward to.
