Omega #10066 Shaving Brush Mock Ivory Handle

With each brush loading, this is a fantastic brush for mixing and applying lather. The foul odor: There's a hog in the brush. Right out of the box, it smelled delicious. I soaked mine for about six hours, loft only, in boiled (not boiling) water, replacing after three hours with freshly boiled water, then lathered the brush and let it sit several times before leaving it lathered and hanging bristles down overnight. The loft smelled 90% cleaner the next morning and it had begun to blossom the next morning it had begun to blossom. There is a lot of lather in this Omega. The proportions are deceiving. The 10066 is a lather machine that builds and holds a large amount of soap from pucks and shaving creams quickly and easily. I'm switching from my Omega 10049 to the 10066 as my primary watch. to brush. br>br>There is no stench after a week of daily lathering with this brush. The hog's urine is no longer present. My shave stick's scent is now on the brush; The knot has bloomed beautifully after two weeks.

Because this is the only boar hair brush I own, I don't have anything to compare it to. br>It's a lot stiffer than my Badger or synthetic brush. It's also not as full-bodied as the original. br>However, it's nice to be able to use a stiff brush now and then. br>The hair smell was gone after about four shaves with it. br>I recommend it to anyone who already owns softer brushes, as you'll need to know how to work up a good lather with this one.

This brush was a huge upgrade over the previous one. My first shaving kit included a badger brush. The brush has a nice soft feel to it and lathers up nicely. I expected the brush to smell like pork rinds and lard based on other reviews, but I'm extremely sensitive to smells and found it to be quite neutral. This is my first boar hair brush; it's a little firmer than badger hair, but not in a bad way.

I've had it for two and a half months and it continues to soften! I like how it has a strong backbone for tackling the difficult Col. I wash with Conk soap. I shave twice a week, and the odor has almost vanished. I'm looking forward to starting my shaving routine now that I have this brush!.

Over the last five years, I've owned two Omega 10066 watches, the first of which was unfortunately lost in the mail when I moved to the United States. Apart from the usual Omega quality, the brush is a lovely workhorse that breaks in well and keeps on delivering. This is a brush that every man should have in his arsenal. Beginners and even seasoned wet shavers will benefit from this product. I wouldn't call it a perfect brush; rather, it's perfectly imperfect and never fails to deliver.

The brush is pretty standard for a boar. It's quite large, so it's simple to operate. The bristles will be stiff and odor like the animal from which they came when you first get it. To get rid of the smell, give it a thorough rinse with soap and water. The bristles will break in and become much softer after a few uses. It's a good brush, but you won't know how good it is until you've broken it in.

I received the brush this week and ran it through several lather/rinse/dry cycles to help break it in and reduce the odor before using it for a real shave this morning; I face lather, and this brush gave me the best lather I've had since I started wet shaving two years ago. This brush has a lot of backbone and is ideal for lathering your face. This $13 brush will replace the $33 "viking blades" brush I purchased last year, which is terrible by the way. These will be purchased as gifts as well as a backup for travel. You can't beat this price for a high-quality, well-functioning product.

from one of the most talented designers currently working. The Omega 10066 makes it simple to create a rich lather. A better deal would be hard to come by. Although I believe there are better brushes available, this brush makes it simple to suspend that belief.
