I have never used a badger brush before, but I think it is a good deal for the price. Using this brush, I get a nice frothy foam that is evenly dispersed so I could not possibly ask for more. I really like this bowl it has a perfect size and does not feel cheap at all. The only thing I don't like is the brush stand. It falls over constantly when I put it It can balance just a little bit better if you bend it forward a bit more, but it isn't the best. Also, it is a little too short so when picking it up or down, you are certain.

Once taken out of the water, which I did as soon as I got it, I hit it with hard core soap in an attempt to get this thing to stop smelling like poop, resulting in pale small insects slowly crawling out I have determined that they are louse by closer inspection. You can just throw away the stand and bowl. As soon as you place your brush on it, the stand tips backwards. There are no foams to be created in the bowl with the brush because it is too small.

I think the stand is a little weird for the brush since it isn't secure, but you get a lot for your money anyway.
