Brush is excellent. This is only my second time. The first was a Parker, which may sound disgusting, but I used for about seven years. It was a beast, and I'd still be using it if it weren't for the fact that I realized it was time to get a brand new, clean one. br>br>By nature, I'm an overthinker who has a hard time making decisions. Unfortunately, I'm a perfectionist, so it took me about 6 hours of research spread out over three days. 5 days. It was deplorable, but it was well worth it. The brush has the appearance and feel of a high-quality, long-lasting brush. I didn't want to spend this much, but since these are supposed to last 7 years, why not? Take it from me. br>br> You should, given that you have no idea and that our tastes are likely to differ. But take my word for it. There's no way you can go wrong with this one. And if you don't like it, that's on me. If we ever meet, I'll buy you a beer. (I am crossing my fingers. ).

I purchased a second brush because I was so pleased with the first. I tried a cheap 100% badger brush for $18 and it sucked and never got soft enough for me. I tried Dr Squatches' $28 synthetic brush, but it's only good for painting it on; squishing the bristles flat against your face and building a lather is impossible. This one is soft and excellent for lather building, and it performs admirably after a two-week break-in period. I use it with Taylor of Old Bond Street creams and soaps, and it works in either a metal or marble lather bowl. I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference between this brush and one that costs $140. I'd rather use this one because it's more than adequate, which is why I purchased a second one. Are you looking for a brush that isn't too expensive? I still adore it. I've relocated to a new location where the water is extremely hot and frequently steams. The brush has become even softer, as if it were a cloud brushing against my face. It's so soft that I can barely feel the bristles, and it's amazing. However, I've heard that getting hot water too close to the handle can ruin the glue and cause the bristles to fall out, so be careful. I haven't run into that issue yet, but I'll let you know if I do. I'm not sure I'll use the next brush until I'm convinced it's unsanitary. This brush can take a beating and still get the job done. It is a purchase that you will not regret.

This brush, which costs about half as much as my previous silvertip, has all of the benefits of the more expensive brush without the bristle shedding. The expensive brush shed profusely for the first month or so, then stopped shedding for about a year and a half, then resumed shedding until it was no longer usable. Over the course of a week of daily use, this new brush hasn't shed a single bristle. In a year or more, we'll see how things go. But, if it lasts that long, it will be a good buy at this price. In all other ways, this brush has the functionality, appearance, and heft of a high-end item. One word of caution, though: The handle is a little too big for my Perfecto brush and razor stand, but it fits perfectly in the wider Charmman stand. Because it's important to dry the brush upside down, you'll need the Charmman or another wide stand if you buy this brush.

This brush looks like a $30 brush but costs $80. br>Heavy-weighted bottom with silvertip badger bristles that are extremely soft and dense. Tons of lather and water can be stored in this container. There hasn't been a single stray hair in sight. br>This is without a doubt the best brush I've ever used.

I'm blown away - No shedding or odor, and the bristles appear to be of excellent quality. The base is extremely heavy duty and lathers up beautifully. I had to purchase a new stand to hold it because it was a little wider than my previous brushes. See for standbr> It has a relatively short handle, which, after owning lighter brushes in the past, takes some getting used to because the bottom is so heavy. A plus for me is that after lathering, the brush edge perfectly aligns with the edge of my shaving mug without sticking out or falling out.

The bottom line is that it functions well and is enjoyable to use. This is a great deal when compared to the other prices I found. The only thing I noticed was that the shiny chrome on the bottom side scratched easily, which is noticeable when hanging in the stand (which, FYI, does not fit in the Viking stainless steel stand). It's just a tad too large.

The metal handle is too big and awkward to use. The balance is off. The badger hair was of acceptable quality, but not the best I've seen or used for the price, and the bristles section of the handle detached from the handle, leaving a stub, after less than a year of moderate use. I needed a new brush, so I went out and purchased one. I suppose I'll keep the stub for travel purposes. Very let down.

It turned out to be a high-powered weapon. This is a great deal and a product that delivers, and it's far superior to my overpriced brush. This brush is a work of art, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good shave brush.
