Yes, it's a sizable sum. I initially found it inconvenient to use, but I've grown accustomed to the way it mats with hot water.

It appeals to me. This is the best synthetic brush I've ever owned, and I'm so glad I discovered it. I strongly recommend it because it has no disgusting smell of dead animals and it is vegan 100%. I've never understood why we have to slaughter animals in order to shave our heads.
While this brush appears to be more durable (no hairs shed) and is relatively soft, it does not hold water or suds as well as my old badger fur brush. The artificial hairs appear to be smooth, in contrast to natural hairs, which have a tooth that prevents water from flowing down the shaft, resulting in water running down my hand when I apply shaving soap. I was able to apply soap to my face for shaving, but I couldn't get a lather going. So far, the best solution I've found is to leave soap on the bristles, which shouldn't harm them, and let them dry in between lathering sessions. Then, using only a little water, soften the brush by flexing it but not adding water to the bristles, and work up a lather on the bristles' tips. In the long run, you'll save soap, and the soapy water running down your arm should be reduced with this method.
It's extremely well-made and attractive. It has enough backbone to exfoliate while remaining gentle on the skin. Brush holds enough for two or three passes and can produce a rich, thick lather. Since the first couple of uses (when it did shed a few), it hasn't shed a single hair. That aspect of the brush makes me very happy. (I purchased this after becoming frustrated with my current badger brush's constant shedding. ) )br>br>The knot could be a little more substantial. When wet, the hairs of synthetic shaving brushes tend to mat together, as seen in other reviews. This brush requires a little more effort to produce a good lather than my old badger brush or another synthetic brush I have with a larger (24mm) knot. The smaller knot has one advantage: Because I have a beard and only shave my cheeks and neck, the smaller knot works better with the soap and allows me to target the areas that I shave.
I've used a $10 boar brush, as well as a variety of badger brushes ranging in price from $40 to $100. $100, as well as a few synthetics priced between $25 and $100. $100. There are advantages and disadvantages to every brush. I have yet to come across a brush that contains it. Maybe the $300 badgers do, but I'm not willing to spend that much money to find out right now. The synthetics I've tried in the under $50 range have the best performance-to-cost ratio, and this brush is one of the best values I've found for the less than $20 it cost to have it delivered to my door. br>br>The tips are soft and pleasant to the touch. The shafts are still strong enough to massage my whiskers and coat them in lather. The majority of synthetics appear to have a good mix of features. People complain that synthetic hair does not absorb as much water as natural hair does. This is most likely correct. Synthetics, on the other hand, will be able to release the water that they do absorb more easily. This entire debate, in my opinion, is a waste of time. The real question is how well a brush can create a wet, creamy, and durable lather. Like most synthetic brushes I've tried, this one produces a great lather quickly. br>br>I'll admit that this brush isn't quite as nice as some of my other, more expensive brushes. The most noticeable difference is that the fibers aren't packed as tightly. This does not, however, take away from my five-star rating. I don't believe this brush is attempting to provide all of the benefits of a more expensive brush. Instead, I see this brush as attempting to provide the most value for its price. br>br>In conclusion, I believe this brush provides excellent value for money, aside from the fact that it does not contain products derived from animals that may or may not have been treated humanely. The cruelty-free aspect of this brush is just icing on the cake for a brush that is already a good deal.
It deserves five stars, but make sure it fits your stand if you order a different stand. I haven't shed a single strand of hair. It also has an antique look to it, which is fantastic. There is only one issue with which I am confronted. It didn't fit the stand I bought separately from another company. I had to bend the brush holder I ordered separately to about a fourth of an inch on each side, for a total of about a half inch or more. It didn't appear to be a particularly large brush. Is it possible that the stand I ordered was simply too small? I'm aware that some brush holders hold the brush bristle up, but please don't do so. The bottoms of the hairs/bristles will develop mildew and mold. I'd buy this brush again, but only if it came with a stand that could hold a brush with a large knot. The five stars given to this brush are well-deserved.
I've tried a few genuine badger hair brushes, and they either stink or lose their hairs over time. This brush is excellent, with no odor and no visible hair loss. I tried a few artificial brushes before deciding that this was the best.
Over the years, I've experimented with a variety of brushes, ranging from natural to synthetic bristle. end badger, but he was never completely satisfied with the results. As a bit of a wet-weather enthusiast, I've never used a synthetic brush because I'm a shaving purist. I decided to give a synthetic brush a try after purchasing my most expensive badger brush, which turned out to be the worst hair shedder of all my brushes. When I bought my GBS brush in October, I was struck by how natural the synthetic bristles looked and felt. It didn't have any "break-in" time. It has the perfect mix of softness and stiffness for my personal preference and performed flawlessly from the first shave. It lathers up better than any of my natural brushes, is simple to clean, and dries quickly after each use. Since I started using it, it has only lost ONE synthetic hair. I can't imagine going back to using natural brushes because it's a lovely, highly functional brush that's easy to maintain.
This brush is extremely durable, and I strongly recommend it. We gave this brush a two-star rating when we first reviewed it. My husband did not like the short handle, so I gave it a one-star rating. He has, however, grown accustomed to the handle and is now a fan of the brush! In the ten months he's had it, he claims it hasn't lost a single bristle. His old brush was shedding bristles in clumps all of the time. I've never changed a two-star rating to a five-star rating before, but this brush is deserving of it!.
