The product looks great immediately but fades gradually after showering, etc. Like any self-tanning product, it fades with time. You should exfoliate and do all the rest before you apply the tanner. When I tried this product for the first time, I was blown away. Although it was not brown as I had hoped, it was also not orange. Due to the orange, it doesn't seem like a real tan at all. The overall general tone of it is a little orange, but it isn't as orange looking as other self tanners I've tried, and it smells nice too. While I do not believe it is possible to achieve an intense brownish tan with self-tanning creams, to date, this one has been the best one for me out of all of the ones I have tried.
