My experience is that there are a number of self-tanners out there, and this, by far, is the most natural looking and easiest to apply evenly. I've tried many self tanning products, but this one is the most pleasant and doesn't leave the skin sticky
If you want to use it on your face, you need to apply it gently and make sure you rub it well through your face, and it is up to you to put a little bit all over.
