The smell of this product alone sets it apart as my favorite self tanner brand. I have used the entire line and every shade they offer and I am in love with this one. There's really a cotton candy smell to it! I like the fact that it can be built without appearing streaky *** just a helpful suggestion - To apply my tanning lotion, I always wash, shave, exfoliate, and shower freshly before applying. Buying this for its cotton candy-like scent was the reason I bought it. Neither is there a scent to be found. Then, as you can see in my photo, I washed my hands after application and they turned white as far as my wrists are concerned. The second negative is that it left my skin with a weird hue after the first day of applying it. The third is that it can make your skin look dull. As soon as you apply it, the product appears greenish brown. Thus, use a mitt instead of a brush to apply the product If you don't, you will be streaked. A low price convinced me to give a 5 instead of a 4 if I'd was considering giving a 4. It does smell like cotton candy, but if you don't wash it off after an hour (which if you do, the color is okay, but most tans need at least four hours to really set), then it still smells like self-tanner. There is a reason it has 4 stars instead of 5, since it doesn't apply perfectly smooth as their Original Tan AF, but it is also truly transfer proof and smells good when applied, which is the major reason it's a 5! I absolutely love everything about this.
