It does smell like fake tan, I know what you mean. It is not at all the case! In the morning, just after I shower, I'll put it in and let it develop throughout the day. It smells tropical, so I'll use it. There are never any stains or odors to worry about. There's no liquid gold like this!

***I would give it 10 stars and may do so in the future**** I've never seen a self-tanner I like so much, this one went on white, smelled amazing, and didn't streak at all. My entire life has been changed since I found this product I can't say enough amazing things about it.
Skintones, whatever they are, are beautiful with this foundation! There's no yucky orange mess here! Using this product will give you a flawless self tan.
This is my home away from home. This product is ten times cheaper and has the same great effects, plus it doesn't turn you orange.
There is no sunless tan lotion I have ever found better than this one. Aside from the fact that it smells incredible, it's also incredibly tasty. There is a beautiful tanning effect on the skin that does not look fake. As well as moisturizing my extremely dry skin, this lotion also soothes it. I will definitely order more in the future.
