I believe this is the first time I've ever written a review. I used to take Accutane when I was younger, and it dried out my lips for the rest of my life; I stopped taking it about 8 years ago, and I still can't leave the house without lip balm. Almost every brand you can think of has been tested by me. Aquaphor is my top pick, and it's almost as good as it gets. This is an incredible product - I've been using it for a week now and have noticed a significant improvement in the hydration of my lips. Accutane patients, if you're reading this, please keep in mind that you're not alone. This could be the product you're looking for.
My lips were so dry and chapped after the polar vortex that my regular blistex wasn't cutting it, so I looked for something more serious and came across this recommendation on Buzzfeed. IT WORKS AMAZINGLY WELL. In the morning, it looks like I have lip fillers because I left it on overnight. I didn't even need lip balm that day because my lips were so big and moisturized. My lips are also completely free of dead skin. Miracle. Working doesn't take long at all, even an hour and a half can make a difference.
This is the only product I've ever found that keeps my extremely dry lips moisturized throughout the day. I used to spend the entire day looking for chapstick, vaseline, and even Neosporin because my lips were literally falling off. Now I only have to use it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, and I don't have any peeling or dryness throughout the day. It's a miracle, to tell you the truth. Don't be hesitant to buy it. I think the jar will last a long time, and I'll save money compared to all the chapstick I've been buying and losing.
This is the only lip balm I've ever used and finished. Ever. When I hit pan, I was ecstatic, and I've been scraping the heck out of the tub to make sure I've used every last drop. I don't use this as a nighttime mask; instead, I use Mamonde Lip Sleeping Mask or Blistex Conditioning Lip Serum. This is my go-to day-to-day moisturizer. I'm not a big fan of lipsticks, but I like that this one has a glossy finish and is thick enough to stay on for a long time. I bought it in September 2018 and finished it today (end of May 2019), and I used it every day. It's a good balm for the money.
Although it is not cheap, a little goes a long way! I had to wipe some of it off because the tiny amount I scooped, as shown in the photo, was more than enough for my lips. br>In the winter, I suffer from the worst dry lips, so I'm excited to try this out.
It's filling and only requires a small amount of time to prepare. It isn't sticky in the least, which I appreciate. My biggest gripe with other lip balms and masks is that they leave my lips feeling dry. My lips are so smooth because of how much I use it. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up in the cold and wind this winter. An aside. I apply a small amount to my cuticles at night, and it keeps the nail bed hydrated.
I have extremely dry lips and have tried a variety of products to hydrate them without success. This is a genuine solution. They don't peal any longer. I took acne medicine 20 years ago and have suffered from severe dry lips ever since. This is the first product to successfully stop pealing. My lips are still soft in the morning after using this every night before going to bed. It's possible that I'll be able to wear lipstick once more. Excellent product.
When lips are particularly dry and cracked after surgery, this product is used. Results in a flash!.
