It does not appear on the ingredient list for Pyrithione Zinc in the boxes I have.
Also, I did not see pyrithione zinc listed as an ingredient. It has been almost a decade since I started using it. This is the only soap I use as well as the other Vanicream and Free & Clear soaps as I have a lot of allergies Products with a clear look. It might be of use to you.
The bar has a consistency similar to Dove soap bars, and it works like any other cleanser to clean your hands and body.

We had been purchasing this item at our local Walgreens, but it's hit or miss since they run out so fast. I was tired of driving back and forth to see if it was back in stock but it didn't return. I am delighted that it is available at All the bad, unnecessary ingredients have been left out of this soap. As far as I am concerned, it is better than Dove and other mild soaps. I have sensitive skin and many allergies so this product has proven to be very moisturizing and foams up very well. My husband used to use Dove until he switched to Vanicream and will not go back to his old brand. I am also no longer bothered by the dry itch on my skin. As a matter of fact, it has been controlled well with this and their lotion. As a result I will now buy this brand not only in the Fall and Winter months but throughout the year because I can tell the difference when I use another soap, my skin returns to being dry and itchy again. Even though it would be nice to be able to purchase this at a local store, the pharmacy manager told me that it goes as soon as the store restocks. Having said that, we are paying about the same price here as at Walgreens and perhaps a dime less, so Amazon is our best bet - especially when we get a lot of snow and the weather is not the safest. Hope Amazon continues to run.
All my life, I have suffered from a type of contact dermatitis called fire engine red, which is triggered by certain additives in household and skincare products, among which "fragrance" or "parfum" is the chief enemy. The dermatologist I see on a regular basis has prescribed that I replace all of the products I have been using to clean and scent myself, with the Vanicream Cleansing Bar in the lead. My skin felt smooth and soft after using this product. It produces a creamy, surprisingly luxurious lather that lifts grease while keeping moisture. It's uncomfortable at first to use a scentless soap, but I soon adjusted. No breakouts, no changes in how clean I feel, and no worse off than before. My dermatologist recommended this to me because of my sensitive skin. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I experienced the same burning sensation when I used other soaps that were vegan, chemicals-free, or plant-based. My skin still felt like it was burning or felt like a series of tiny hot needles poking through I had been using this for pityriasis rosea as well, but since I've started using it, it has kept my rosacea at bay, and I've seen my scarring fade and heal. Using this product along with the lotion is going to be a constant purchase for me.
As soon as it was turned on, it started working. I didn't even need to use the second bar because it worked so well. Before I finished the first bar of soap, all of my issues were resolved. It helped a lot on my back and I did not need to use anything else on it.
If they are just out of the bathtub, I recommend following it up with Vanicream lotion. After bathing them with soap, we immediately put the vanicream lotion on and it works great! Our allergist told us not to dry them completely after bathing them with soap.
My skin was too irritated by the chemical smell of the soap to use it repeatedly. The product did not irritate my skin or cause me to have a reaction. I had chemical odor that permeated through my skin and caused me to I don't like this at all. Repurchase would not be a good idea. There is a cream I use which works great, but this one does not.
According to my dermatologist, liquid soap is not recommended, so I was glad she suggested it to me! The first time I heard of this soap was years ago, when I began to wonder what this soap could do for me.
Since I suffer from Psoriasis and have had a bad experience with almost every soap I have tried, I still avoid using the stuff. I was recommended this by my dermatologist and am so glad I did. It would have been good to know about it earlier.
