I have experienced BV on and off for the past few years. As for my lady bits, I'm very picky about how to clean them. While I want to feel pristine down there, I also want to maintain a pH that's within parameters. The cause of my BV has been suggested to be the use of bar soap (lever) on my hands when I clean my downstairs area. Although I was only using that soap externally, I was removing too many good bacteria from my skin. The soap contained too much fragrance as well. I decided to switch to Vanicream's bar soap and I can tell a world of Although I haven't used it for very long, I have noticed it is light/gentle and gives a latherily clean feel at the same time. It does not irritate, burn, or sting when applied. It left my lady feeling nice and smelling fresh despite the lack of fragrance. Additionally, I think most people would agree that this is a good bar soap. My back-up bar is already in use, but I'll use the new bar as a wash for my face. I have now gone through my fourth or fifth bar of this soap and I have to say I love it so much, I am 15 and have had acne since the age of 11. That it doesn't contain excessive ingredients that I do not like is a plus. As well as keeping my skin moisturized and soft, it keeps my hair shiny and healthy. As for my husband, he switched from Dove to this, and he really liked it for a while. In fact, since his skin is so sensitive, the little breakouts he had diminished gradually after a week or so. Despite that, he was starting to appear again which was odd. I personally don't believe this soap was to blame, but perhaps our laundry detergent. We use natural but I switched to a different brand for a change, and I think this had something to do with it. have stocked up enough to cover me for a few months based on what I have stocked up. There is a little bit of a discount at Walgreens, but they run out very quickly so I am happy I can always get it online.
