When I read the negative comments about the powder causing reactions, I was terrified. My skin is a little sensitive. Because of all the positive reviews and "youtubers" who seem to swear by it, I decided to give it a try anyway. So far, I've only used it once (on Saturday night; I've been makeup-free for three days) and have had no negative reactions. It's not as bright as many other setting powders, and it doesn't make me look ashy. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>br>After about a week of use, I noticed a slight irritation, small itchy bumps, and more breakouts, which I assumed were caused by the powder, so I stopped using it for the time being. I'll give it another shot once my skin has returned to normal. In the meantime, I've reduced my rating from 5 to 3 stars because I'm not sure if my skin was acting up or if I'm having a bad reaction to this product. br>br>2nd update 5/01/2018: br>br>I resumed my use of the powder. My initial assessment stands firm. I've been using it for about two weeks now and haven't experienced any new outbreaks. I adore the flawless result I achieve. Back to 5 stars br>br>Final update 9/16/2018br>br>I've been using this powder every weekday since my last update in May and have had zero problems. I am extremely pleased.
I've tried a slew of "translucent" setting powders and they're never what they claim to be. I'd get that flash-back every time. In photos, I prefer to have a back or reverse raccoon eye, otherwise I'll appear ashy. That's never a good look, as we all know. I decided to buy this powder after seeing it used by so many of the makeup artists I follow on Instagram. It's been a little over a month since I started using it, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm not going to use anything else! The price, as well as the amount of product you get in the jar, is incredible (in comparison to Sephora's brand prices). Unlike some of the other reviews I've read, I've had no breakouts or irritation, despite the fact that I have extremely sensitive skin. Before incorporating new products into your makeup routine, always perform a test patch. This setting powder is something I would recommend to ALL of my "Melinated" friends. sistahs (yes, I made that word up LOL) out there!.
I adore it!.
I developed severe bumps and rashes on my face after just a few days of using it! My cheeks resemble the photos posted by other reviewers who had bad reactions to the powder. There was no rash the first few times I used it, but my face was itchy and irritated, which I had never experienced with any other cosmetic product. The rash then turned into huge angry itchy red welts on my cheeks after a few more uses of the powder, so bad that I had to see a dermatologist! Just be aware of possible allergens when using this powder. br>br>In addition, the dark buttercup (for medium to dark complexion) was too light for my medium Asian skin. This shade would look better on darker skin, and I used it sparingly to avoid looking too yellow. Before I broke out, I liked the matte finish because it was easy to apply and looked great in photos.
Since it arrived, I've put it to use twice. The first time I tried to talk myself out of thinking it, it broke me out all over, but after the second use, I knew it was the source of the red bumps under my eyes, on my forehead, and on my chin. It's lovely, but the consequences aren't worth the effort. I'm still trying to heal my skin and get rid of the bumps.
This is a good product, but use it with caution! These testimonials aren't just for show. The first time I used it, it was fantastic, but when I washed it off, it left me with a rash on my face. My face was itching and burning that night, to be precise. It's possible that my skin is sensitive. All you have to do now is exercise caution. Remove it as soon as you notice itching or burning so that it does not worsen.
When I first used it, it looked fantastic. My skin began to break out in small bumps all over my face after a week of continuous use.
and it didn't appear to be like this. This box does not appear to be brand new. It appears to be severely scuffed. And it looks as if it was previously open. On the inside, there is a plastic sticker. The cap, however, was already covered in powder. There are also marks all along the bottom, as well as a few on the sides. Scuffs that don't appear to be caused by the packaging or shipping, but rather by previous handling. I'm not sure. br>br>I'm not sure. I'm suspicious because I'd rather not mess with my face because a greedy company seller decides to cut corners or cut the product with something to save money. It's possible that this is why some women have breakouts or burns on their faces. There is only one face you have. Ladies, take care. br>br>I should point out that this isn't the first time I've used Sasha cosmetics. I've ordered the same powder from the actual website several times and the makeup has never arrived in this condition, which is why I'm suspicious. br>br>I'll contact the seller to find out what's going on. And pay attention to how they respond or what they say. I'll copy and paste whatever they have to say. br>br>For the greater good of all, I prefer to be aligned with truth. As a result, I have no qualms about disclosing what occurs. br>br>I've included some images. to demonstrate the strange state of the container The dirt on the bottom of the "newitem" sticker, which is on top of the normal sticker. The side marks, as well as the inside of the lip, which has product on it. br>br>I'm also a little irritated. Because I work in front of the camera for a living, I needed this to be completed quickly. And I'll need a beat face for the interviews I'll be doing around town.
