It is not waterproof and smudges easily. My eyelids were lined with liner, and three hours later, the line was almost completely gone, and my eyelids were smeared. Even though I live in a hot climate, it's ridiculous that I can't even last three hours.
Update: I've discovered a brown eyeliner that I really like and that doesn't dry out. * .
I'm going to give it one star because I really like the color and how it applies. It dried out after only three uses, which was a problem for me. I MEAN IT. I kept it in my make-up bag with the cap on. I assumed there must be a twist mechanism on the top or bottom to release the liquid, but there wasn't, so it was laying on its side. So I soaked the tip in water and pressed it against a hard surface to force the liquid out. Nothing seemed to work. Very let down.
This is fantastic! In a few weeks, most of them appear to have dried out. It's been months since I've used it, and it's still going strong! This is perfect for me because I prefer a very thin eyeliner line. It also works well for special occasions when I use a thick eyeliner. Great eyeliner in general! Of course it isn waterproof but it doesn not smear as others do. I work as a mail carrier in 90° weather for 6 hours and this eyeliner keeps my eyes from looking like raccoon eyes! I strongly suggest it.
There was some the first day I tried it, but not enough to use the next day, and yes, I replaced the cap! It was easy to apply and I enjoyed it, but I couldn't afford to buy one every day! I'll try it again in case this was a fluke because I liked it, but I'm disappointed and feel ripped off despite the fact that it wasn't expensive; I'll look for it locally or try another seller.
I've been looking for this my entire life! This was something I ordered on the spur of the moment, and I'm glad I did. The pen tip is PERFECT in and of itself. It's incredibly simple to use and has a nice appearance. The liner remains in place, but if I make it uneven, I can easily clean it up with a cotton swab and some makeup oil or water. It also has a long shelf life. Because I have oily skin, my eyeliner rarely lasts the entire day and evening, but this stuff does. I was impressed and would recommend this to anyone looking to keep their liner on point, even through tears. The price on Amazon is also very good.
For the past two years, I've been looking for a fine, dark brown, water soluble eyeliner pen, and this Maybelline liner is perfect! Ever since L'Oreal stopped making the pen I'd been using for ten years, I've been wasting money and time buying liners that were all wrong. I'm ecstatic I came across this. It applies smoothly and lasts throughout the day. It stays wet for a month after being removed from the tube. It's not pitch black and stark, but it's a nice dark color. And it comes at a reasonable price.
This is a product that I will continue to purchase. It's also great for brows, which I use it for. I use it to create a "bricroblading" effect, which looks amazing.
