I was having a similar issue. I really liked how the product looked after it was applied. Although it stayed on, attempting to sharpen it was a disaster. I put my 2-year-old daughter in charge of me. hole- Both sizes of sharpener were ineffective. I was afraid the blades would break due to the hardness of the casing; The tip would break off when I got to the end of the casing. If I succeeded in sharpening a tip, the outer casing edges were so jagged that they caught in my eye and hurt! I gave up after the third tedious cleaning of my clogged sharpener. I don't have the time or energy to do that on a regular basis.
ADVANCEMENT OF THE TIP IS NOT AVAILABLE. It wasn't designed to be that way. You should be able to sharpen it, but I tried three different sharpeners and was unsuccessful. L'Oreal refunded my money after I made contact with them.

Before purchasing this item, I should have read the reviews. It's finished when you've used the pencil all the way down to the point where you need to sharpen it or screw the bottom to expose more liner - There is no longer any lining. Because there's no way to sharpen or twist the bottom for more liner, you'll have to throw it away after that. Otherwise, it's fantastic, and I suppose that's how this make-up works. For the same amount of money, the start-up company is providing less product. Hopefully, when people stop buying it, it will backfire on them.
For the first few days, this eyeliner looks great. You'll have to sharpen it before you can use it again. After that, sharpening is virtually impossible. It was a complete waste of money. Every time I use my nice make-up to sharpen it, It's a great eyeliner sharpener because it removes large clumps of eyeliner and is so soft that it crumbles. It's as if you're throwing away expensive eyeliner because it keeps breaking off when you sharpen it, and it's sad to see it in the trashcan rather than on your eyes. I'll have to remember not to get another one of these.
I've been wearing eyeliner for over 50 years and have tried just about every type there is- kohl, liquid, and gel-based pencils, kohl, liquid, and gel-based pencils I've tried it in almost every drugstore brand (and far too many at high prices across department store cosmetic counters). Until now, they've all either vanished or relocated right in front of my eyes. br>br>This is a good one. It applies smoothly and STAYS in place until makeup remover is used to remove it. Although you won't be able to smudge it, if you want a smokey effect, try "sketching" it on lightly like you would a crayon when shading. br>br>I'm not sure why anyone is having such a hard time sharpening theirs. I have two different companies' eyeliner sharpeners, both of which work. To be sure, getting a pinpoint edge is difficult, but if you really need one, you can use old emery boards or sandpaper to get one. If you ask me, it's a waste of product. br>br>I'm going to buy a few more in case L'Oreal makes the mistake of discontinuing them.
My black eyeliner situation was a HOT MESS when I was 49 years old. That is no longer the case. This stuff is great for the waterline because it doesn't smear or make you look like a racoon. love it. Pro tip: This pencil only works with one of those old school, circular, metal sharpeners.
It stays on for a very long time! This eyeliner is my absolute favorite! It holds up to tears, rain, and sweat with ease! No joke. I love it so much that I wear it every day. It hardens a little, and you can feel it. That is what allows it to remain on throughout the entire process. It doesn't bother me in the least.
I was able to sharpen after I learned how to do so. I like how it applies smoothly. Although I was having the same problems as others, I went out and bought a two-size eye liner sharpener and tried it in the smaller size and it didn't work, so I tried it in the larger size pointed upward so it would cut using a firm grip but not too much because it could break and finally got the black plastic part to come off smoothly before moving on to the pencil with more liner. I was about to give up hope and be disappointed with the use (or lack thereof) of my money when I finally did this, and I'm relieved to know I didn't waste it. So I hope this information is useful to someone else who is having a similar problem with this pen.
I liked it a lot, but I'm not sure if I ever had a dysfunctional one. It only lasted one minute. 5 weeks (and I only use it once a day in the morning) (Only slightly). Because there was no way to extend the pencil by twisting it, it didn't last very long.
This eye liner is one of my favorites. I was on the lookout for a good waterproof eyeliner that would last all day. I have oily skin and allergies, so this is perfect for me. My eye liner is usually gone by 10 a. m. on some days. This is not the case. This one applies smoothly and remains in place until washed off. It also does not cause any discomfort to my eyes.
