I have found these to heat up just as described and have been quite satisfied. The clamps I bought were not up to my standards, so we bought new Hairware clamps They do heat up quickly and can burn your fingers if you don't turn them on for 5 minutes, and if you forget to use them when they are switched on. I've tried many roller sets that claim to heat up quickly and these are by far the best. Hot rollers are so much faster than curling irons and flat irons and do less damage to my hair for me. I have been using hot rollers for 45 years now. Changing the amount of time you leave in can yield the same results, such as curls or smoother hair, in a much shorter amount of.
The "pink colored" Conair set (Xtreme Instant Heat with heated clips) has been in my arsenal for years, so knowing they wouldn't be the same as mine was somewhat surprising. These are slightly wider than the pink set in terms of overall diameter. We need retractable cords on everything now (I mean, everyone should have them, right?). March 2017 was when I purchased this product. It took me about ten times to use these curlers. It did not work yesterday when I plugged it in. Use of the materials was correct, and they were not mishandled. There is a set of 5 curlers that is 30 years old and still works that I have from Clarol. The price is very high and I am very disappointed with these.
I am really satisfied. These rollers are great for curling long hair, and I'm really happy with the way they work. I receive compliments all the time on how my hair looks, and they give me soft curls that look good with my layered cut. I am not a huge fan of the plastic clips and have no idea why they are preferred by all the manufacturers over the old metal ones, but I am getting used
