I have just finished my third set of music. It has two Conair hot rollers and both of my previous sets had faulty thermostats and the curlers became overheated and some had melted into the unit. One of the previous sets was the larger one (more rollers) and one was this smaller one. This is terrifying. As far as I am concerned, I just wanted them to add volume to my crown, so they worked out perfectly. As for the gripping clips, I actually like them more than the old-fashioned metal pins, they work quite well in my fine/thin hair just had to experiment with how to place them so they would stay in place. It was very useful if I positioned the clips so that the levered portion rests against my scalp when using the roller, as it served as a wedge for holding the rollers firmly in place, preventing them from falling or unrolling as other reviewers I wish I had purchased a full set of these rollers for my entire head as the curls it creates are beautiful. The 5 rollers I purchased are a good size for getting the top of my head, but the curls it creates don't fill my entire head.

Hot rollers are great! These use extremely little electricity and heat up very quickly. If you like very tight curls, these aren't for you, but as you can see they provide a good amount of curl and What a great idea!.

I have come to the conclusion that thick hair does not work well There is something about these that I love- But it is clearly more effective to use a curling iron. As you can see, I have very thick, coarse hair just past my shoulders and I am still a white person (to give you some To cover my entire head, I purchased a second set so I could use both of them simultaneously. Even then, it only covers half! As a result, if I only had one roller, I would need to reheat and reset each four In the meantime, I still have to do half my head at once with two sets. I am not certain whether this will actually save me time, since the best result comes from carefully laying out It's really a pain to watch the clips. Only 2 of my 10 arrived with prongs that twisted completely out of whack and did not intertwine properly. Nonetheless, I do not want to buy more since the price of two sets is already high! My health is better than having to use a curling iron all the time. Since I have been using heated rollers for decades, I can attest to their effectiveness. Aside from the clips, I think this is the BEST set I have ever used. I find that the clips are flimsy, cheap, the tines and prongs are not lined up, and they easily break or crack. In a different set of clips, my favorite Conair clips were made of SOLID plastic. It's so annoying to deal with these.
In light of this, these are perfect hot rollers to use. In just a few minutes, you are ready to roll up your hair with smooth, large waves that 'stay in' for many hours. They heat up so quickly that you are ready to roll up in 1 to The second set of this model - I have one more to go The set of five rollers is not enough for me to do my hair all at once, but I love them so much that When I bought my first set, they were marketed as a "travel set" - but it was not what they were advertised as.
