Though I have never tried, I have heard it takes years of constant use before they need sharpening, except if you work on large projects, in which case you would need larger shears. Even then, it lasts for a long time. My first garden was 40 years ago and I have just recently purchased my third pair of gardening gloves. You should be able to tell by that. By the way, my favorite gardening tool is the old one. I use it to cut wire, etc.
the best of my knowledge, no. It has been my experience that a spring does not stay in very well once it is removed. The shears are usually replaced after a while.
You should be able to work well on the frog portion of the hoof with these.
It's not the first time I've bought and used this type of watch I'm 32 years old and have owned 3 of them. You can try some WD40 to see if that helps loosen it.

To trim the hooves of my 25 goats, I use these. Only once in the past 8 years have I had to replace them.
The correct way to adjust it is through a technique. Fine trimming and pruning are excellent with this product. The center screw and lock nut work independently and must be tightened in sequence. This caused me some trouble initially because there was a little too much play between the blades. I corrected the problem by tightening the center screw and lock nut in sequence. A screw must be tightened on one of the blades first and then the lock nut tightened next because one of the blades is threaded. There appears to have been an error when assembling it when the lock nut was tightened down before the screw was fully tightened down.
The final piece of advice I have is to IF YOU WANT A GREAT PAIR OF HOOF TRIMMERS, THIS IS IT! With thinner blades, you can get much more precise cuts and make thinner slices, so you do not make too many cuts! I was really amazed at the efficiency of these.
I am very happy with this product. These shears are much better fitting for my wife's hands than everything else I have tried in the past. Using our tools is part of what we do as farmers. I haven't used anything like these before, but they hold their edge longer than anything The price is a little high, but the quality is excellent.
A cheap set of cr@ppy clippers failed to make even a dent in a extremely dry hoof, so I decided to purchase these after reading many I love the sharpness of those tips It is recommended that you wear leather gloves and be very careful if your pet tends to kick or yank their foot away They are not to be trifled with! This is what we have to do Ultimately, the time I took not playing with the cheap ones helped me save time trimming those animals that are difficult to trim - If you want the cuts to be exact, they will- They can do a nice thin shave for you if that is what you want- I absolutely love it. Those tips will save you a lot of time!.
A while back I bought a pair of trimmers with teal handles which were not satisfactory. Eventually I fell upon these and decided to give It's great that they work! are able to cut through my goats' hooves with ease, even in the middle of summer when their feet are very I like the size and comfort of the handles, and they are not too big. They were later found locally at a cheaper price, but wherever you can find them, these trimmers are a good idea.
The shears I have tried have been many, many over the course of my ten years in gardening. The following are all of my favorites The only shoes I have ever bought and I am never buying another pair! They are so beautiful to me that I give them to family members and friends who garden as well. The only feedback I've heard thus far from family and friends has been amazing! You must have them if you're a gardener!.
