For what purpose is the metal tag on the keys used?

While I am not sure what you call the metal key tags, if you are asking on the clips, they are used to hold the hair and cut it in sections instead of all at once.

The key included appears to be made of metal. What is that?

Keys are not a part of my knowledge. In my kit, I have two different scissors (one for straight cutting and one for thinning hair), a comb, two hair clips, and a suede cloth for dusting.

They were all great, from the scissors to the comb and clips. The inside of the building was perfect. The weight is not too heavy nor too light, which makes holding it easy. I couldn't stand the little zip up clutch that came with it because it appeared to be flimsy and had already fallen.

It's the thinning shears that change everything! This set is so worth it because of the thinning shears! My husband's hair was cut by them and I cannot describe how much better he looks

Besides the standard scissors, there is also a nice pair of regular scissors- This is a pretty sharp product and with proper maintenance, I am sure it will last a very long time. As well as the case that they come in, I love the design. To keep everything organized and to prevent things from getting lost, he keeps everything in a box.
