With nothing more than my normal use, I have broken countless guards in the past. Because they can't be any worse than the track type, I decided to take a chance on these. Initially, I was a little concerned about how the magnet would hold up, but when I put the guard on for the first time I was holding it loosely and the magnet literally pulled it out of my hand and snapped it Excellent product. Those combs are awesome, they cling like superglue to my Andis Master and don't move, I bought 3 and I've been using them since. For Oster Fast Feed, this is the best guide/guard/comb I've used. I feel right at home. The magnet locks into place with a satisfying click and remains in place. This is the same as the original, only much better. Yet they are a completely different depth than the individual Oster guards for pet clippers, which have a metal attachment and spring in It would be great to be able to buy these items individually as the packs are a little pricey. However, I don't anticipate replacing these anytime soon.
I like the guard for my Oster fast feed, and the 1/16th inch guard has rounded points that make it comfortable to use. The blades are considerably more durable than the clip-on types, which are prone to breaking. As well as the fact that I only have to buy two blades rather than a complete set, I like this.
