This helped me to get rid of a faded semi-transparent layer. An ombre of purple and burgundy that is permanent. My hair is thick and curly, so I used two boxes. When I first started, my hair color was about three months old. This product bleached out the remaining color and evened out the tone, allowing me to dye it the next day. It didn't make my hair feel more moisturized, but it didn't feel as damaged as it did when I bleached it. It does, however, have a strong sulphur odor that will linger all day, even after a double shampoo. If my hair was already bleached enough underneath, I would use this to strip my color again.
I really like this product, and I used it to dye my hair a bright red during covid. It was a dreadful and unattractive sight. It was one of my least favorite things. This was extremely effective. It washed away all of the vivid red.
I received the box a week late, and it was wet because the contents of the bottle had leaked out. I've been told that I won't be able to return it now. It had been made available.
I dyed my hair Amethyst, which was a lot of fun but not the right color for me. I purchased the extra-strength oops, and voila! My hair is now ready to be colored once more. My already white hair returned to its original color, while my brownish grey became this orange blond. I am extremely pleased.
This product didn't completely remove my previous color, but it did lighten it to a more pleasing shade for me.
Despite the hype, I couldn't get into this. I attempted to remove the fading black dye from my split dye; here are the before and after photos. Even though it lightened the color a little, it's barely noticeable. Anyway, it smells like farts, and it might work for you, but not for my hair/whatever dye was in it previously.
It didn't even lighten the color and smelled awful. It was a complete waste of money, and it just damaged my hair for no reason. It would be better if you bleached your hair because it would actually make a difference.
When it comes to removing color, this stuff is the best. Red is a particularly difficult color to remove, and I've tried everything except this.
