This is an Orly product that can be purchased at most salons that provide nail services or sell nail products.
I layered it over my old coat. Once a week, I take it down and start over.
It served as a base coat, and I only applied one coat. I'll apply a second coat if the tops of my nails appear to be flaky. What is the frequency of your visits? When it comes to my nails, I only do them once a week.
Yes! In fact, it's the only color I use as a base for any other. I really like this product, and the Sec n Dry is also fantastic. After a few coats, my nails can take up to 5 hours to dry, but this takes two hours or less to dry completely.

EVERYTHING has been tried- Oils, vitamins, cuticle creams, and any and all strengthening top coats imaginable Some people contributed a little, some people contributed a lot, and some people contributed nothing at all - This is, without a doubt, the best! It's the only thing that 100% has kept my nail from splitting! If I get too much on my skin, I get a tingling/burning sensation, but it's not a problem if I apply it neatly. Y’all - This is effective. Do it. Split-free nails are a delight!.
My nails are extremely thin, and even the tiniest bump can cause them to break. For the first time in my life, I was able to get my nails past the tips of my fingers after using it for about two weeks. I wish I had remembered to take a before shot!.
This creates a hard, lustrous surface, but that's about it in my opinion. My fingernails peel in layers and bend in bends, as many others show and describe; however, after two months of use, I've discovered that Orly Nail Defense instantly delays impact damage and stress, as most "painted-on" nail polishes do. Although "shell" type coverings do penetrate and improve nail health, adhesion, and flexibility, they do not penetrate the nail. Despite careful smoothing with a crystal nail file, it actually makes my nails more brittle, resulting in more peeling of the top layer from the nail edges. Not really a "treatment," but a long-term boost in nail strength. There was nothing noteworthy about it.
I've tried biotin, prenatal pills, and a variety of other supplements. I've also tried every nail polish known to man for this condition, ranging from Nail-O-Matic to Nail-O-Matic. NOTHING has worked for me, including Tek, Sally Hanson, Nail Envy, and others. For years, I've been looking for a cure. THIS IS THE END! No chipping, a lovely shine, and my nails are instantly strengthened. I can't say enough good things about it!.
I adore this product and went to great lengths to locate it on Amazon after my local beauty supply store closed. Because I have thin nails that chip and peel easily, Orly Nail Defense has been extremely beneficial. I really like this item.
It works like a charm. My nails are weak and brittle. My nails were a nightmare because I play guitar as well. This item is outstanding. My nails are now extremely hard and strong as a result of using it on a regular basis.
Pro: While wearing it, I noticed that my nails were firmer and less flexible.
Con: It changed color to YELLOW! It turned a nasty yellow-orange color when I used it as a top coat over a blue nail polish. By the next day, it had turned a bright green color. Maybe it was an allergic reaction to the polish, I reasoned. After a day, I gave it another chance by using it as a clear polish over my natural nail, and it turned yellow again. br>I would avoid this product in favor of OPI Nail Envy. I understand you're probably looking for a less expensive option. Alternatively, you could go to a dollar store. My Wet N Wild nail strengthener from Dollar Tree didn't turn yellow either.
Before writing this review, I used this product for six weeks. "I'll give it another week," I would tell myself. I figured I just needed to give it more time because the reviews were so positive, and I figured 6 weeks would suffice. I'm sorry to say that this product completely destroyed my nails. It weakened them rather than strengthening them by causing them to split and peel. What a letdown!.
