I've only had it for one day, but I'm already in love with it and think it's almost perfect. The handlebar extensions are a must so that your child has enough room to ride while you don't have to completely sidestep the board; in fact, my toddler had enough room that I was able to leave my hanging stroller organizer on and him stand comfortably in front of it. At the zoo, he loves how easy it is to get on and off! br>br>The assembly instructions were a little lacking, but once we figured it out, it wasn't too difficult. br>br>I am 5'6" and my foot did run into the board on occasion, but not as much as an off-brand stroller board without the handlebar extensions. They're the difference between success and failure. It also steers incredibly well and was a smooth ride, easy to fold with the stroller and not too much added bulk. br>br>Even 6ft grandpa could push it without having to walk completely to the side. br>br>.
For travel, this is a must-have. I spent $800 on a nice double stroller that I only use once in a while. However, I frequently use this $100 riding board with our Booklet, and my preschooler enjoys riding on it! We take it to airports because both the Booklet and the riding board are easily detachable and can pass through security. We put the riding board back in and proceed to the gate after passing through security. We like to detach the riding board at the gate, place it in a plastic bag to keep it clean, and put it in our carry-on luggage. on luggage (it's a perfect fit). That way, if the baggage handlers throw our stroller around, it won't break. We like it a lot. We prefer the Booklet plus riding board to a double stroller because it is much lighter. for all purposes.
The board is nice in and of itself, and my daughter enjoys it. It made it much easier for her to let her brother use her beloved stroller. However, it is supposed to have a handle extension, which would be very useful because our feet keep bumping into the board. br>Unfortunately, we are unable to add this extension to our book plus stroller. I can't believe they don't say so in the description; it's called a "peg perego book board," so it should work with the book plus, right? We don't have much of a choice because it's the only board that will work with this stroller.
This goes great with the book pop-up, and my three-year-old enjoys riding alongside her younger sister. Pushing two children around becomes more difficult, and the ride becomes less smooth. I'll have to get used to pushing the stroller with the wheels so close to my feet, as well. I run into them every now and then.
This is what I put on my Book stroller, which is one of my three children's strollers. Running errands has never been more enjoyable for a 5-year-old.
The buttons that allow you to fold it up aren't as smooth as they should be. It takes several tries to get it right. (I expected it to get easier over time, but after a few months of almost daily use, it still takes a few tries to get it to fold up. ).
Furthermore, double strollers can grow to be quite large and heavy. While we stroll, my son assists in the supervision of my daughter.
Great.
