Yes, they are effective.
Yes.
Sorry, but I'm unfamiliar with that type of stroller.
We have the Sola, so we can't say for sure, but we were told that if they were designed for Maxi Cosi, they would work with any Maxi Cosi or Cybex seat. We finally settled on the Cybex Aton q, which are excellent.
Selected User Reviews For Mamas and Papas Urbo2 and Sola2 Car Seat Adapter for Cybex/Maxi-COSI, Black
We use these adapters for our stroller, and they turned it into a complete travel system for a fraction of the price. To use, simply slide the one marked with an L onto the left side and the one marked with an R onto the right side, and the sides of your car seat will slide right down onto these and lock in place. br>br>At first, we were stumped as to how to remove the adapters from the carseat, but after watching a YouTube video, we discovered that you simply press the buttons on the carseat's lip on either side.
These adapters were purchased to be used with a Nuna Pipa car seat and Mama's and Papa's sola2 baby buggy. They were a perfect fit for both products, and the instructions for using the adapters with the buggy and the car seat were very clear. I found removing the car seat from the adapters a little difficult at first, but I'm sure it gets easier with practice. Our daughter isn't due for another few weeks, so I can't say whether the slight stickiness in removing the car seat from the adapters will be a concern in practice with a newborn. When I try these out with a baby in the car seat, I'll update this review.
This is what I use with my Maxi Cosi Mico and the Urbo. I agree with another reviewer who stated that getting the car seat onto the adaptors can be difficult at times. Another issue I have is that the instructions state that in order to remove the car seat from the adaptors, you must simultaneously press the rear handle and forward facing buttons on the car seat. This is almost impossible to accomplish. They should instruct you to pull the handle back first, then press the forward-facing buttons. Aside from that, it gets the job done.
They are excellent for mothers and fathers to stroll in. I recommend them because they are very easy to adapt to.
The Urbo2 and a Nuna car seat are both in my possession. To be honest, I'm glad I don't have to use the car seat that comes with the stroller because it's a pain. It's not obvious which goes on the left and which goes on the right, and if you get it wrong, the car seat will not latch. However, removing the car seat is even more difficult because it becomes stuck and requires excessive force. To tell you the truth, it takes four hands to do it! It's the third time I've used them.
It clips on the Urbo 2 like butter, but it's not motionless tight when securing a Maxi Cosi Mico 30 (which should be fine). You also need to push the seat handle back to get a good grip when lifting up the car seat to detach it.
When it comes to shopping with a newborn and a toddler, they make my life so much easier. Pull cart with toddler in seat, push stroller with car seat attached. This is an excellent item.
I don't usually write reviews, but this adaptor for my Maxi Cosi 30 and urbo2 stroller is fantastic. Yes, removing the car seat from the adaptors requires some practice, but it's actually quite simple once you get the hang of it. Press the buttons, lift the car seat, and tilt it forward slightly to allow the "hooks" to easily release the adaptors. It was well worth the money!.
