Yes, it works in the winter to keep the cold out. Inside, I still used a blanket, but when you zip it open and stick your hand inside, you can tell it's keeping the heat in. However, you must exercise caution. The cold stiffens the plastic, and if you handle it too roughly, it will tear. I definitely have a rip because it's just plastic sewn on the sides.
While it may fit around the front and canopy as shown in the photo, the Doona stroller has specific attachment points for their accessories around the base and behind the canopy. It's possible that, while it fits, it won't stay put. I've never tried it in a different stroller or car seat.
When we used this at the airport, my 6-month-old was fine, but the problem is that it becomes foggy and stuffy after a while. So it's not a great substitute for a mask, but if you don't zip it up, it will at least keep droplets from hitting the child.
If it's good, it fits perfectly in the doona car.

I'd give this item a minus five star rating if I could. The plastic is stiff and creases easily. It's the kind of crease you can't undo. Because the doona is not a large carriage, it appears to make the baby's space very small and claustrophobic. I'm also perplexed as to why it costs so much. I believe they are charging so much because it is a doona accessory. I'm returning mine, and I'm torn between buying a one-size-fits-all rain cover and skipping it altogether. If you use your doona as a carriage on a regular basis for longer walks, you may want to invest in a rain cover; however, if you're just going from car to home, you may not need one, and if you're ever caught in the rain, a blanket will suffice.
This is an excellent rain cover. Yes, the plastic is creased when it arrives, but my husband placed it on the carrier and smoothed out the creases with a blow dryer. It took me only 15 minutes to complete the task.
Because we live in the south, I'm hoping to use this a lot. It's simple to set up and use, and it works flawlessly. My only criticism is that with this on, you can't get your baby out of the car. It would have been nice to keep it attached, but it prevents you from lowering the canopy. As a result, I was stuck trying to figure out how to detach it while docked (which isn't possible). br>br>Otherwise, in a rainy climate, it's a must-have accessory.
Here are the facts: Doona products are functional, high-quality, and dependable. We are extremely pleased with our rain cover purchase. It not only keeps our little guy dry when it rains, but it also keeps the Doona dry. We absolutely adore it! It's a game changer for drizzly rain walks. br>br> In addition, the cost is reasonable. There's plenty of ventilation, a great zipper, and even a piece of velcro to keep the top cover in place on a hot day. br>br>It's very simple to do on the Doona. With a few clips, it was a tight fit.
I had previously ordered a less expensive rain cover that claimed to work with the doona. It was, however, a complete disaster. It didn't fit, and the wind kept blowing it out. This one is unique and perfect; I paid a lot more for it but am very pleased with my purchase. Only thing that would make me happier is if they added some ventilation holes on the side. My baby becomes sweaty and out of breath if I do not open the zipper for a while. However, the size, fit, and quality are all excellent!.
I wasn't particularly impressed with this item, despite the fact that it was specifically designed for use in a car seat. It appeared to be good at first, and it appeared to be capable of performing the task. However, after about a month of use, it ripped, and the hole was large enough for me to put my hand through. When you use the car seat without the base, it's also not as easy or as safe to use. With this attachment in place, the seatbelt will not fit into its small slots on the handle. If you're not using the base, you'll have to remove it. The item also doesn't have a lot of air flow. Our baby becomes extremely hot very quickly, and he begins to cry because he is too hot. The clasps can also come undone at the top from time to time. It's simple to snap back into place, but I guess I expected more from a company selling such a high-priced car seat that requires you to pay for even the most basic accessories. I'd be willing to pay for them if they were worthwhile, but we won't be purchasing this item again.
THE PRODUCT IS IN EXACTLY THE WRONG FORMULA. This is a brand-new version that doesn't look anything like the photos. When the top isn't zippered closed, you can't see your lo because it's blacked out. br>br>This is a terrible product because it prevents the Doona from being used as a car seat because the hanging plastic bottom prevents it from latching. Its entire construction is poor; it fits baggy and strangely, which is strange given that it is a Doona-specific product. br>br>I am dissatisfied with my purchase, especially since we are approaching the rainy season in this area, and this will cause me to wait a few days longer to find a suitable rain cover.
" " Helped us out when we were running late on an unexpected rainy day! I made sure that the baby was kept safe, dry, and warm. The material is light, which means it has a thin thickness and folds up easily for storage (in the Doona under the stroller bag). It was a fantastic value for money, and it was well worth it! This is a must have!.
